Intro to Chaos - Most of the time

I'm not going to say it's chaos all the time, but with 4 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, a tortoise, 2 in-laws, and a beautiful wife it's not usually going to be quiet.

Every morning can start out as an adventure. Someone getting up before the crack of dawn to take a walk makes for an early start for me. The rooster next door making sure we know he's alive at 430am. The wind blowing just right so we hear every tractor cruising down the highway from a mile away.

With all those animals I walk downstairs in the morning and the first light I see is the light from the Tortoise tank. I have found the remnants of a sick dog, with my bare feet, on the carpet in the Living Room. I have seen the cat mistaken the tub for a litter box as I opened the shower curtain to start my day. I'll be honest. I'm not a cat person and that may have something to do with their weak bladders, but damn it if they make it to the litter box they could at least get it in.

My dogs are the Best in the world. Our first we got as a puppy and he has lived up to the Cock-a-poo reputation at every turn. He is now almost 11 and has grown up as my oldest son's Best Friend. Our other dog is the dog that everyone would Love to clone. We got her from rescue when she was 2-3 years old and first impressions can be misleading. She is now 100 lbs of Love and she'll push all of her St Bernard/Great Pyr fur on you to make sure you do Love her, but without the slobber. She is now almost 7 and we can't imagine life without.

That is enough about the animals. We'll carry on about some of the child escapades on our next post. And there are plenty
