Froggy's World Part Two

Updated on March 26, 2015
Froggy213 profile image

In 2007, Greg's 23 month old Grandson was killed. At that point, he found a need to write about his family, crime, and local issues.

An Update

Many of you have read my partial autobiography Froggy's World, If not the link is below.

This is an update as to what has transpired since the end of that story.

The case is still under investigation, but not in God's eyes; it is shut and dry with the Almighty and I trust vengeance will be HIS.

Scroll down and try on some of Froggy's shoes--

This whole ordeal has affected all of us mentally, physically, and spiritually. I have had issues with different people who have handled the investigation.

One person from the Missouri Department of Social Services took over the whole investigation. When she handed her investigation over to the Laclede county prosecutor it must have been very incomplete. The investigator from the prosecutor's office feels he needs to do the investigation completely over. Yep, Jonathan was protected to death by DFS.

We have been very frustrated and I have done a number of things to try to bring awareness to this great injustice. At this time I have been told they don't even know where this guy is.

Well, enough of the negative. I know that Jonathan is with Jesus and safe!.

I know that I now have a responsibility to other children. Child abuse is one of the biggest crimes in our country and also it is the most overlooked. I have poured myself into child abuse awareness. I am now in the process of making a web site that is called For Our Childrens Future. It goes state by state describing the laws in each one through links. You can also watch child abuse videos and each picture has a link within it--I have put it on-line, but I am not completely finished with it. Please check back often.

Our Health

Physically, this all has attacked my wife and I terribly. I have been put on temporary disability from my job and my heart is being checked. That really is nothing compared to my wife.

This past weekend I took her to the emergency room. She has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and her kidneys are failing. She has to start taking kidney dialysis.

Our faith is still strong! We know God will see justice done.

There is just one thing and I would like your comments and suggestions; This guy admitted that he was in the shower with my 23 month old Grandson. He says that Jonathan " fell ". He then says he kept taking his shower and let Jonathan crawl to the back of the tub and go to sleep.

Shouldn't he be charged at least with not seeking help? Why are they protecting this guy? I asked the prosecutor, Angie Hemphill Wright, if the guy was an undercover drug informant and all she would tell me was "not through her office". Is he a federal agent?

I have so many questions, but no answers. I do feel that the investigator on the case now really cares, but does he?

The Positive

There has been a big positive to all of this. People are coming out in droves against child abuse.

I felt obligated to organize a candlelight vigil for child abuse awareness on April 18th. We had it here in front of city hall. There were at least 40 people who braved the cold drizzly weather.

I give it up to Bikers against Child Abuse whose link I will put below. Some GREAT people who care about kids.

I appreciate all the support and prayers-please keep them coming for JUSTICE FOR JONATHAN!

Thank you ALL!

I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to your beautiful grandson. I will add you and your wife to our weekly prayer list. You will have tons of people praying for you both & I KNOW that prayer is powerful.

I would like to encourage you to spend time reading God's word each day, pray & then quietly listen. I think most of us forget to listen for the Lord's promptings. If you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you. His peace is beyond our comprehension.

My thoughts & prayers are with you both!

      Hello Froggy,

Please keep up your tireless work. NEVER STOP. So many children out there cannot protect themselves. Cannot speak out from sheer fear of being beatten again. The videos you have speak a lot about what happens every day around the world. Some remind me of what was done to me as a child. I wished every day that someone would come and make it stop. But the people that came and took me from one person, did their own form of pain. I spent every day of my childhood in fear. It's not a way for a child to grow up. As many children, I spent a long time thinking I was at fault. Told that if I was better behaved the things that happened wouldn't have been done to me. No child deserves to be beatten. I was 21 when I finally got away from my last abuser. My own mother was the last family member to abuse me. She had me paying rent so high I couldn't afford to move somewhere else. It was a friend I met online that sent me a greyhound ticket for free. I packed up two duffel bags and left everything else. It was the best choice of my life, and things changed for the better. But the scars are still there. The aftermath of the damage will last till the day I die. Plagued with nightmares and flashbacks of the abuse. It's something that I try with all my heart to prevent another child from having to endure. And I will keep standing up for children till the day I die. I hope others will too. Thank you Froggy again for being a voice for the children who cannot speak. **hugs**

I can't imagine what you have to go through. You have my prayers. Jesus is Lord. Your grandson is in His arms. Jesus did love little children and of course all of us. When my wife Carol passed we celebrated life. It was her desire. I did thank to Lord He gave me this honor for spending 34 years with her. I love you both... You are not alone.

this is really good, I don't want to see pictures of the child abuse as this kind of stuff gives me nightmares and it stays with me for too long.

Froggy: My eyes got wet when I read your story because its excruciating losing a child; as you know we lost my 18 year old nephew, but he was not murdered, so emotionally its easier to take, than a murder.

I agree with Peter, forgiveness, not condoning, just praying for strength to be able to forgive can transform the pain into an even higher state of grace, and not destroy you and your wife; you both are doing wonderful work and the planet needs you both here to bring more awareness to child abuse.

Much love to you and your wife and your loved ones. And yes, Jonathan is in better place with God!

Froggy, as always I pray for you and your wife for healing. Jonathan can no longer be hurt. It is true, but my heart breaks when I see his dear face. But so many children are fortunate that you are working so hard to keep them safe from abuse. Keep up the excellent work and God be with you.

Thank you my friends--Yea Peter our State[Missouri] needs work on the DFS system--I have found that all a caseworker here needs is 7 credit hours of college--it could be 7 hours of P.E.--that is all. A lot of the caseworkers, including the one on Jonathan's case, don't even have children themselves.

Also wanted to say Peter-you are right,I have prayed for that guy and I work on the forgiveness side every day. I still won't forget though.

I know of a case right now where they are actually going overboard right here in Lebanon--the boy was acting out in school and DFS has essentially "kidnapped" him. They won't let the father see or talk with him--the boy is 9 and they have put him in a mental hospital--they are also giving him thorazine--no child should take thorazine. I know this boy personally, yes he is a bit hyper, but with proper discipline he always minded me fine.

Child Protective Services in Missouri needs to be investigated!! They are screwing kids and families up. They "help" the ones that don't need "help" and the ones they should help they overlook.

They also get some kind of funds{state or federal} to have that boy in that hospital giving him thorazine.

If that boy comes out of there messed up-I will call for people to PROTEST!

Keep up the good work, Froggy. Many states have some sort of failure to protect/get help criminal laws, I can't say whether yours does or not.

If I might be so bold, I have seen countless physical and emotional hurts healed through the simple act of forgiveness. I know it's hard, and you may have forgiven over and over, and you certainly don't have to forgive and forget. But the tormenters loses claim to you when you forgive, releasing and blessing the person who is undeserving of it goes a long way too.
