Hey Girls! - Spirituality - Hub 7

SPIRITUALITY

Having some type of religious FAITH is extremely important to a fulfilling life. It helps you to keep your morals intact, which in turn helps you to be the best person you can be for yourself and towards others. Right and wrong are two very real concepts, and having beliefs in a higher power helps you to realize the difference between right and wrong. With a spiritual presence included in your life you will have more to help guide you honestly and keep you strong through the pitfalls that may come your way. You will learn about prayer, humanity, humility, and gratitude for your life. And a very significant attribute for spiritual health is to learn forgiveness. It is the key to your sanity and salvation.

A word of caution for all of you! There are people in this world who look for spiritually weak young people to entice them into any number of cults or man-made religions. Your spiritual weakness can show up as depression, despair, rebellion, discontent, selfishness, and/or just plain evil. Don't give in to it, be smart enough to recognize bad ideas and poor decisions. Keep yourself guarded for anyone approaching you about joining one of these “off brand” religions ...they often spell T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!! If need be, seek advice from your parents or trustworthy adult.

Learn about Faith. Your first indicating thought about having faith should be that you are currently alive! Surely you know or have heard of someone your age who is not. Spirituality begins by acknowledging the fact that for whatever reason unknown to you at this moment you are still alive! And that means there is a purpose for your life each day you live. It's up to you to make your existence mean something. You are given a new chance everytime you are able to wake up and see the world another day. Be thankful and don't ever take life for granted!
