I Am That Mom Who...

Updated on June 5, 2015

I am "that" Mom...

Who uses re-usable sandwich bags.

I hate washing them

I am "that" Mom...

Who only lets my kids watch the recommended 2 hours or less of TV just to put them to bed around 7:30pm and turn on HGTV until 11:00pm...can you say "Fixer Upper!?"

Who makes sure the kids are dressed and groomed before we head out the door, only to realize I forgot to brush my teeth and haven't showered in 3 days.

Who feeds my kids mostly organic and minimally processed foods while I hide in the pantry to eat Peter Pan and Special K bars.

I am "that" Mom

Who looks longingly at my bed.

Who lets my kids dress themselves.

Who gets a little jealous that they get to take a bath more in one week than I do in 6 months!

Who secretly loves to eat their mac-&-cheese...Auntie Annie's Peace Pasta & Parmesan? Yes Please!

Who runs.

Who believes that sometimes it's OK to do a little day drinking.

Cheers!

I am "that" Mom

Who can't wait to get away for "me" time, but miss the kids every second I'm gone.

Who drinks coffee like it's my job.

Who had postpartum depression. Really bad postpartum depression.

Who doesn't ask for help even when I probably need it.

Who tries to support the Moms around me.

Who laughs out loud when my kids have a "good" fart.

Who is truly thankful for my dishwasher, Starbucks gift cards, and rare mornings when my girls sleep in!

I am "that" Mom

Who gives it all I've got, but still wonder if it's enough.

Who smiles at the thought of my kids faces.

Who makes mistakes.

Who makes awesome banana bread...from scratch!

Who yells more than I wish I did.

Who loves to dance with my girls.

Who is figuring out out how to be a Mom one laugh, one snuggle, one time out, one burnt grilled cheese sandwich, one meltdown (theirs or mine), one day, and occasionally one moment at a time.
