Santa Hats for Christmas

This Christmas will be our twin grandchildren's first Christmas so I just had to buy them both a Santa Hat. We have quite a collection of Santa Hats at our house but none for infants. I searched and searched until I found some that are Made In The USA of 100% cotton knit and will be sure to share pictures when the twins get here. They are due right around Christmastime so I plan to get lots of photos of them wearing their Santa Hats.

It is going to be such fun to have babies in the family again. It has been almost 15 years since our last grandchild was born. Isn't this just the most perfect Christmas gift in all the world? We sure think so and can hardly wait to hold them in our arms. It will be a Christmas to remember. That is for sure!

Of course, they may be Christmas Babies but their birthdays will be kept separate from Christmas according to our daughter-in-law. December will be a full month of fun and celebration from now on. Oh, I know there is a possibility that they may be late and may not come until after Christmas and that will be ok, too! We just want them to get here healthy and happy. Note: The precious grandbabies were born early and doing great.

Striped Santa Hat for Baby

Jacqui's Unisex Baby Red and White Striped Santa Hat - 7 Sizes! Made in USA!

I really like the fact that this is Made In The USA and is soft for the baby. It is made from 100% cotton knit and is perfect for the newborn. One of the reviews on Amazon said that it was a little snug for their 6 lb infant so not sure why since others said it fit perfectly fine. Of course, all babies have different size heads but this fabric does have give to it.

Another product by Jacqui Preemie Pride that is Made in the USA in Smithsburg, Maryland out of 100% Cotton Knit. In reading the reviews on Amazon, it seems that this may be a little bigger than the striped hat above. Of course, they do come in different sizes. I was just looking at the Newborn size. This traditional red Santa Hat for infants is mighty cute and comes with these precious booties.

The company that made these Santa Hats

Jacqui's Preemie Pride is owned by Suzanne and Ralph Regan in Smithsburg, Maryland and named for their daughter who was born a preemie. All their clothing is sewn locally by local ladies and is made of 100% cotton knit. I really try hard to purchase only products Made In The USA and loved reading the story of this small business. All their clothing is designed for preemies and small newborns. I hope the Santa Hats I purchased are not too small for the twin grandchildren but I don't think they will be. I read the reviews on Amazon and found them to be most helpful in making my decision to purchase. I don't expect our grandchildren to be preemies since our son was a big baby but you never know with there being twins. Regardless, I have no doubt that the Santa Hats will fit.

They designed each piece of clothing so that nothing is pulled over the baby's head or face. I think they thought of about everything. I was so impressed to read that they also donate locally and around the world.

I always enjoy reading about small businesses and this company was no exception.

We Have Several Santa Hats

Whoever gives out the gifts has to wear the Santa Hat in our home. It is a rule.

Santa Hats For The Whole Family

Now, I am thinking that it would be fun for the whole family to wear Santa Hats like my cousin's family did (see photo below). It would make a great Christmas Card with the new babies. I think it would also be a lot of fun for everyone. What do you think?

If I Could Crochet, I Could Make Santa Hats

I don't think I will be crocheting Santa Hats for the twins since I don't crochet but decided to post this tutorial (below) just in case someone might be interested. It seems that grandmothers are expected to make things for the grandchildren but I just really never cared much for sewing of any kind. I used to do a little cross stitching but wasn't very good at that. I often thought that it would be wonderful to make clothes for the grandchildren but maybe their other grandmother will do that.

Another Way To Make A Santa Hat

I do enjoy creating some craft products so when I saw the video below I thought maybe I could make a Santa Hat. The video says it only takes one hour. I can tell you right now that it would take me more than an hour just to get through the first step.

All I can say is I am glad that I found the Infant Santa Hats by Jacqui's Preemie Pride.

Enjoy Your Christmas Purchases Year after Year

Many people feel that it is foolish to spend money on Christmas Clothing for infants and older children because they outgrow them and will never be able to wear them again. It is fun to pass them along to siblings, friends or relatives. It is also fun to keep them for keepsakes and let a stuffed animal wear them. That way they can be used as part of your Christmas Decorations year after year. I kept one of my son's First Christmas Bibs and every year a different Teddy Bear wears it and sits under the Christmas Tree on top of the gifts or on his old rocking horse. This is a photo of Albert the Running Bear wearing our son's First Christmas Bib.

Our son received a Snoopy on his first Christmas and he had several change of clothing. One of them was a Santa Outfit. Our son is almost 35 years old but every year Snoopy has dressed in his Santa Suit and is part of the decorations. See Snoopy under the Christmas Tree in the photo of our Christmas Card below.

Snoopy in his Santa Hat

Do you see Snoopy on our Christmas Card in his Santa Hat? He has become a real Christmas Tradition. I guess our son will want to take him to his house for Christmas with the twins.

That's quite the cute "infant" you have featured in your first photo. :) We don't have a Santa hat but we had a pair of Santa boxers that got passed around for a few years. :)

Who doesn't love a Santa hat? I know the twins will be adorable.

We have an abundance of Santa hats ...they are for four and up now since we have no infants. We have some wacky fun ones and some traditional ones. What fun they are. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for shopping for USA products

Just Ask Susan. Thaks so much for that great comment. I usually don't think about Christmas this early but with the twins arriving around that time that is about all I am thin juking lately.

It is going to be such fun. I love the idea of a stocking filled with a baby. I imagine your photos are fantastic and what wonderful Christmas Cards.

First of all, my sympathies to your "Christmas twins". One of my daughters arrived 4 days after Christmas (2 weeks late) and rarely got a birthday present that wasn't wrapped in Christmas paper turned inside out. IF she got an actual birthday present in addition to that year's Chrismas gift, that is. Most years, they were combined into one present. On the other hand, she grew up believing the parties and hoopla on New Year's Eve were delayed celebrations for HER birthday, which has worked out quite well for her in adulthood!

As for infant Santa hats, the year she was born, the nursery staff had made giant Christmas stockings out of red and white flannel for all the babies born during Christmas Week, large enough that each baby left the hospital tucked into one. Naturally, this was the stocking Daughter insisted be hung each year despite my having made a set of "normal size" stockings for her and her siblings. As a teenager, she marvelled that she'd ever been small enough to fit into the hospital stocking. Me too!

As for Santa hats, the gift for a grandson's second Christmas was a giant teddy bear that I'd had to mail ahead to his parents - with instructions NOT to open - because it was too big to take on the plane. Once there, I took the carton to my hotel room for safekeeping.

Bright and early Christmas morning, the desk staff did a double-take on seeing a guest in a Santa hat cross the lobby carrying a huge stuffed bear and seat-belt him into the front seat of a car at the curb. Luckily, there wasn't much traffic at that early hour, as there could've been several accidents when drivers of the cars I did meet were obviously shocked to see "Santa" behind the wheel of a 21st century "sleigh" next to a life-size, grinning "Teddy! ;D

We only have one, however it's not the traditional hat. It looks like something from Dr. Seuss, it has a curly top like a corkscrew. Whoever hands out the presents from under the tree at Christmas gets to wear the hat. Bruno is adorable in his, and the photo is enough to grab my attention, if you didn't say another thing! But thanks for the rest of the page too!
