Mud Pies and adventure see the world through your children's eyes...

Updated on April 3, 2015

Making mud Pies and cooking in them in the sun

Watching my kids play and have lots of fun

Going up to their Flying Pirate ship that awaits in the sky

up a ladder up to their wooden Swingset

and going down to the ocean in their Magic slide

I remember those days of Imagination and think back to how the spring-time was when I was a little girl and all the things I would do

when a few Trees encircled was a house and where pine needles were the perfect ingredient to a Mud Stew.

The world in Springtime when your a kid is Enchanting and the kid in us grows up to be moms and dads we are then enchanted with our children

Try to sit back and enjoy the warmth and Sunshine of spring-time and the Imagination in our children

what was your favorite season to play outside as a child. please share your story in comments.

when did you like playing outside most as a child Spring Winter Summer or Fall.?

Lovely poem, so refreshing. The mud cakes and the pine needles in the mud stew, haven't we all done that :). The simple things of life are so relaxing and so beautiful in their own way.

What a refreshingly lovely hub! The older I'm getting the more I'm returning to childhood; we should never lose it.

Maggie-That would be really great to write a book best wishes with your book. Thanks for your compliment but I don't know if I would be able to write a book although that would be very fun to try. Maybe I will try to. Take a notepad outside with the kids.(when my 1 1/2 year is napping lol so I don't have to chase him) and jot down some ideas

Oh how this hub brings me back in time, to those carefree days of mud cakes and how wonderful it felt playing in make believe times...

I watch my son and his friends build funny looking forts and I am writing a middle grade school book just to hold onto those make believe moments of days gone by that are and were special. I believe you have the ability todo the same, as witnessed here in this hub, get writing and published,

      have a great day,
