There seems to be an amazing number of books for infants these days. My name is Louis Pearl G.G., I am a 59 year old father of a 8 month old baby boy. I also have three grown daughters, the oldest is 35. Trust me when I say I have seen and read my share of children’s books. Many are really great and publishers have learned to make infant books to withstand the abuse of very small babies. So when we received a new book for the baby, entitled "Look!", it did not surprise me that the book had a very hard pressed cardboard cover and that the pages were also hard pressed cardboard. My little one has been abusing this book for 4 months and it is still in great shape. I cannot count how often this book has been in his little mouth. I give the publisher full marks for the construction of this book.

The book itself is unique. It was written by Peter Linenthal and designed by Alan Carr. What makes it unusual is it is that the book is black, white and red. Everything in the book is one of these three colors. The script is red; the backgrounds are either white or black. Apparently, Mr. Linenthal’s research showed that babies focus and are enchanted with red letters, large simple pictures on a pure white background on black or pure black background on white. I am not an expert on these things, but I can tell you, this is my baby’s favorite book. He loves to turn the pages and is mesmerized by the pictures. If you are only going to buy one book for your baby, buy this book.
