Disheartening as it can be a parent never wishes to bury there own child, but when God calls them home they can only find comfort among God , family and friends. This poem is for all of those who have suffered and mourn there lost loved one. May you find Peace and comfort in this poem.

" On Angels Wings"

Mommy gave me wings and told me to fly,

Daddy I didn't know it was time, I did not want to die,

Being so young I had so much more to do,

But here in Heaven God told me what I had to do,

My work is not finished, it is only the beginning not the end,

Down on Earth I made many friends, but Jesus called me

So there is no end, If you see my dolls just put them away,

or give them to Sissy she will play with them one day,

There are Angels all around me and Heaven is a delight,

And when the moon is full you will see my light,

Mommy and Daddy please do not cry,

When you get to heaven you will see God

Just as I.

May God's Angels surround you and embrace you when you are sad and all alone and may the next feather you see that floats from the sky realize it is one of God's Angels and they do not want you to cry.

It is a beautiful poem and Hopefully it will help to some extent. It must be the hardest moment to loose child. I am so sorry. Hopefully, they find a way to learn to live with it. To my mind that is the only way to cope.

Hey Juliana, this is the second time your hub made me want to cry (well, the first actually did make me cry). We know you are already facing a lot of problems personally, yet you write a hub about another family's suffering. This is a great tribute and I hope that God will always take care of you and your family.

To mdawson, my deepest condolence on the death of your daughter. I hope God has given you and your family strength and the courage in the midst of what happened. God bless you always.

Sooo so sad and tragic when a parent looses one of their treasures. Beautiful words like yours mark the spot in time because life just goes on for the rest of the world. So we can all mourn the passing of a young life and all she could have been.

Hi. Thanks for the comment on my hub regarding my nephew. We still miss him very much and my sister has a flat affect to her now. I know with time it will get easier.. though we will never forget. The above poem is so touching... I asked her to read it, but she is not that far along yet so I have book marked it.

      Warmest regards,

Thank you for this hub... I actually came to hub pages because I lost my son 6 weeks before his 3rd birthday (6 years ago) and every year around the time of his death a try to do something to remember him, so I joined and wrote a few hubs to express my thoughts about the life of children.

Now that I have 2 other children, and my oldest is creeping towards 3, i find myself holding my breath. I wish more people took the time to appreciate the love that we have to give to one another-life is too shorts and too precious to waste all our time attempting minimal accomplishments.

Thank you for the very heart felt poem. I too, have lost a child. It is very hard to move on after a loss like that. Your heart never mends. Children are a gift from God, no matter how short lived. I would rather known her, then to have never known her at all.

Again, thank you for your poem
