Through Faith Mothers Can Protect Their Child From The Snake Bites In Life

Motherhood is not a job for wimps. Since the beginning of time the duties of a mother consisted of a capable woman responsible for taking care of the house and family members. Fulfilling the essential role of raising a child to be a responsible factor of society is a commitment which last for eighteen years, if not longer.

Many would believe that a mature woman is needed to properly raise a child to be a successful member of society.

However in Mary’s case, (The Mother of Jesus) was said to be 14 years old when she married Joseph a much older man. B.C. (Before Christ) It was common for much younger women to marry older men. Such marriages involving younger women are still common in parts of the world, Africa, South Asia,Southeast and East Asia, West Asia, Latin America, and Oceania.

Every mother knows that raising a child has its sacrifice. However Mary’s trials were different from any other woman, because God sought out Mary. It was said that Mary was a fair girl. What stood out to God most was her faith and willingness to be used for a greater purpose. Mary’s attitude is very different from young teenagers. Young girls around Mary’s age are usually self- absorbed, concerned about their looks, and boy crazy. The fact that Mary was not your average self-centered teenager proves that she had what it took to unselfishly raise her infamous son.

Perhaps even a mature woman would struggle with the thought of an Angel named Gabriel sharing the strange event that their lot in life is to give birth to a child, who is destined to become the Messiah.

Raising A child can bring about dangerous trials known to some as the snake in the garden. Our role as a mother is to step on that snake through faith protecting our children from the painful snake bites in life.

Faithfully Dealing With The Facts.

Faithfully dealing with the facts can be a hard concept to endure.

The fact that this young girl had to explain this news to her husband creates even more problems. The fact that her husband could have called her crazy or he could have accused Mary of having an affair. Mary’s faith endured all of these problems.

Giving birth to her child in a stable, this uncomfortable situation would have baffled any mother. Having to protect her child from the harm of an insecure King by the name Herod who did not want Jesus to be King, this child was a threat so he told his soldiers to kill all the babies in Bethlehem, and the places nearby.

Through the instruction of a guardian angel Joseph was advised to flee with his family to Egypt in order to protect a child with a great purpose.

Perhaps one of the most troubling thoughts that Mary struggled with was accepting the fact that her child was born to sacrifice His life for others.

Knowing that your child will endure ridicule and pain is a bitter pill to swallow. Most mothers would have tried to talk God out of this purpose, or run away from the given task. But Marry knew that there was no hiding place when it came to God's purpose in life, Mary gave herself to the call faithfulness.

Matthew 17:20

He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

Do not cry for me. Cry hard for the lost souls that I did not save. They have been my love and love me back: I do not know good and it does not know me:

my days are not mine but .....

My wife is from a place called Cu Chi and her mother raised her there when her father was in a concentration camp up toward Hue. And later those parents thanked me for marrying her. Can you even imagine they thanked stupid dumb me for loving their daughter and the mother of my child. I was given up by my mom for adoption and then again loved by my mom. Mothers are awesome!!!

Here is a little song I love to sing: It is called pearls.

      Muchas Gracias para todos
