Going Gender Neutral

Are you celebrating the arrival of a new baby? Well there are many reasons why you might choose to go with neutral baby gifts.

Perhaps the new parents waited to find out the gender until the baby was born. Or maybe they're just not into the stereotyped colors of pink for girls and blue for boys. There are many other reasons you might choose to go neutral, so if I didn't mention your reason here, feel free to leave it in the comments.

Either way, in this hub you will find plenty of ideas for welcoming the little one in a neutral sort of way.

Neutral Baby Gift Colors

I think we're all aware of the typical baby gift colors; the baby girl color is pink, and the baby boy color is blue. So when you are wanting to give a neutral-colored baby gift, what colors should you look for?

There are a lot of different ways you can go, but some popular neutral color choices include:

  • Yellow
  • Purple
  • Gray
  • Green
  • Tan or Brown

Bath Time Gifts

Babies, no matter what their gender, need to be bathed. So what better to give the new parents than a baby bath gift basket?

They are usually filled with all kinds of bath goodies such as baby towels, a baby robe, baby shampoo, baby bath soap, rubber ducks, wash cloths, and other things that make bath time more fun.

This is a wonderful baby gift that parents will absolutely adore.

Baby Book Baskets

It may or may not be a gift they use right away, but when the time comes, the child and their parents will really enjoy a baby book gift basket. Loaded with wonderful fairy tales, moral-filled stories, and just fun reads; what child doesn't enjoy having a story read to them?

You can even choose a theme if you'd like! Go with Baby Einstein books, Winnie the Pooh, VeggieTales, Mother Goose, Dr. Seuss or just about anything! No matter what you choose, it's sure to be enjoyed for years to come.

Grow-a-Tree Gift

Have you ever heard of parents planting a tree when the child is born and then watching both of them grow? It's a neat idea if you think about it.

Now you can help the family of the new baby do the same! This grow-a-tree along with baby gift basket comes with your choice of Apple or Ginkgo biloba tree, a plush stuffed animal, an aluminum tag to place on the tree, and a baby blanket as well. Isn't that neat?

Neutral Baby Cookies

If you want to go for something simple and edible, your next gift idea would be baby cookies. These can range from all shapes and colors, but of course - they are delicious. And I think we all know the first thing on our mind after hard work is snacks. Okay, well maybe it's just me?

Either way, these cookies generally send with a 'It's a Boy' or 'It's a Girl' message on the cookies. But the option is still there to say, 'Welcome Baby!' or 'Welcome Daniel!' as well.

There are plenty of options for neutral baby gifts out there. You just have to do a little research before the big day arrives!
