PEER PRESSURE for TEENAGERS
You are the one who is in control of your life, and that is something to always keep in mind.
You will always remember your friends and the times you shared as a teenager growing. So if a friend was in a store and was stealing something and encouraged you to do the same, what would you do? Or to drink and drive, what would you do? Or maybe stole a copy of a mid-term test and offer's you a copy, would you take it?
Remember you hold destiny in your own hands. The answers aren't always easy, when you are feeling pressure from your friends, you want to be liked, accepted and included. It is possible to make good choices.
Get involved with sports,drama,music...volunteer work, a job. Being active somehwere is a good first step to avoid trouble. Keep focused.
All High School students will find themselves in a situation where drugs and alcohol are present. Take time to sort out your feelings when these issues come up. Know who you are and be proud. Become YOU...Someone nobody else can be !!! Make sure you make use of the right tools, like your teachers, coaches, preacher and friends and family, they are all there for you.
Get as much imput as you can before you make an importent decision...consider all your options, pro's and con's...you have to live with the results of the decisions you make for a very long time.
So now that you have a focus and the tools you'll need the right attitude. If we get rid of pessimism, helplessness and negative thinking, we can make the right choices.
The teen years can be a fantastic experience if you choose wisely...your friends rely , as well as you, on trusted adults...and you will find many doors are open to you.
Don't only be identified by the crowd you hang with. Be yourself. Being a self-confident person is not always easy. Don't be an easy target for negative peer pressure.
You can make the right decisions with CONFIDENCE.
