Reasons to Give Your Kids Drinks Frequently When Outside

With summer months almost here most of us will be having our kids at home and with them at home on the nice warm sunny days many of them will be spending time outside to play. I know that during summer last year my kids played outside almost every day that was sunny and nice. Now them playing outside all of the time has many positives, but one thing that you are going to want to do is keep them well hydrated with a wide variety of drinks. I know that for me I have found some benefits of giving my kids frequent drinks.

The first benefit that I have found from giving my kids frequent drinks when they are outside playing they do not want to drink all night long and keep coming out of their rooms in the middle of the night to go potty and not getting a good night’s rest. So this is always nice because then because my kids played outside they will be worn out and will typically sleep in a little bit later than what they normally do.

The second benefit that I have found from giving my kids frequent drinks when they are outside is that they do not get dehydrated. Now I know that since they are normally playing and running outside they will sweat, and when they sweat they are losing some of the moisture that their body needs. So that means that with the frequent drinks I do not have to worry about this as much as what I normally would. Which with my kids is always nice because they are almost always asking for their cuppies already and them getting drinks when outside will help keep them from asking all the time.

The third benefit that I have found to giving my kids their cups frequently when they are outside is they have a more enjoyable time and play outside longer. Now for some parents this might not sound like a big deal, but when your kids like to fight all the time when they are inside it is nice to have the quiet that comes from them playing outside for long periods of time.

While some parents will keep their kids inside during the summer days I know that my kids will spend most of the days outside. For my kids they love being outside, but I have found that if I give them frequent drinks they will have a much more enjoyable time outside and stay outside longer while playing.
