The Advantages of Becoming a Young Parent

When you are young, you only desire to be irresponsible, crazy, immature, and to discover yourself as an individual in this crazy world. Life is not always predictable, you can not write out your life perfectly on paper, shit happens, and it happens unexpectedly, and sometimes the unexpected happens very quickly. When life takes an unexpected turn in life, and a baby pops into your twisted and crazy world, take a deep breath and think about all the advantages that can come from being a young parent. Even though becoming a young parent poses many different hardships, there are also many advantages that arise when you are a young parent.

You Will Learn More Than Most at Your Age

When you become a parent at a young age, you are forced to grow up, become responsible, and become a role model for someone else to learn how to grow and live. You will see life in a new way, in a different light, and will learn how to enjoy new things and embrace everything that lies in front of you. You will learn how to conquer, how to control, and how to become the best version of yourself so your child can learn how to grow into the best version of themselves. When you become a young parent, you must change, but you will be loved forever, and you will learn and discover more than most people do at your age.

You Will Have Enough Stamina to Keep Up

When you have a child at a young age, you are more than likely still able to run alongside your child, pick them up, spin them around, and do it all over again. When you are young you still have a lot of energy to do all of the things that a young child loves to do, and you still enjoy all of the things that a young child loves to do as well.

You Will Still Have the Ability to See Through the Eyes of Your Child

When you become a parent at a young age, you still have the ability to see through the eyes of a child. You still have the ability to appreciate all of the things your child does. You still have the ability to smile when all you do is lay in the grass and find shapes in the clouds.

You Will Still Enjoy the Little Things in Life

When a child pops into your life unexpectedly when you are still young, you still have the ability to enjoy the little things in life. You can still appreciate swinging on the swings, sliding down slides, and playing on playgrounds. You will still be able to enjoy picking flowers, and laughing when there is nothing funny. You will still be able to enjoy tickle wars, coloring, and building forts. You will still enjoy hiking through the woods and finding little creatures. You will genuinely enjoy all of these small things in life, not because you have to, but because you truly still do.

You Will Have a Larger Support System

When you have a child young, you are still surrounded by friends and family who only desire for you to succeed, therefore you will have a larger support system that will stand by your side and offer help when you need it. As you grow older you lose many friends due to life changes, and you lose many family members due to old age and death, but when you are young most of your family members are still alive and well, and you still have many friends that desire to be around you most of the time, and having a strong support system is crucial when you have a child while you are still young. Having a large support system will take some of the parental stress off of you and only provide your child with a large loving circle for them to grow up in.

When You Start Young, You Finish Young

One of the biggest advantages of having a child (or children) at a young age is that when you start young, you will still be fairly young when your child is all grown up and moving away to college, therefore you can still enjoy life and do all of the things you may have missed out on when your child was young. When your child grows up you will still be young enough to go out, travel, and experience the things you have always wanted to.

You Learn What True Love is at a Young Age

When you become a parent, you learn exactly what true love is, and when you are a young parent, you learn what true love is at a young age. Once you learn what true love is, you stop wasting your time on people and relationships that do not benefit you, instead you work toward to finding people and relationships who compliment you. As a parent you must surround yourself with people that compliment your lifestyle and personality, so your child can learn how to surround themselves with positive people and better influences throughout their life as well.

Life does not end when you become a young parent, it just opens up a new story, and from it begins a whole new life for you. Embrace the change parenthood presents, and become the best young parent a child could ask for.
