The Joy Of Plane Watching,Can We Do It Again? He Whispered In Her Ear.

Updated on October 11, 2010

The joy of life,

The sweet kisses of the morning dew,

Crisp air of another day falls to your face.

Sunrise of a dawning day your mind thinking back on days gone by.

Your eyes fixed on a figure in the distances

Silence at that very moment.

You hear “Can we go again?”

“Can we do that again?” I love you Nanny.

He always whispered in her ears.

Sure, she replied” I love you too.

They looked like birds coming in over head sometimes stars in the sky.

Can I stand in the back seat? He would ask every time.

Yes you can as she pulled up to the look out point.

The top fold down and he knew their routine.

They would grab a blanket and their coca and off to the back seat they would go.

Stand up son here they come; reach up as high as you can. You might just touch one coming in.

His eyes would light up and he would reach high standing on his tip toes. His smile was bright. Here comes another one he shouted with glee.

You could feel the wind gust as the planes flew over the lookout point coming into the airport. With the sun coming up they went from stars to birds in the sky.

Nanny I will fly high like that one day he spoke in her ears.

I love you Nanny, with a big hug and a kiss.

I love you too son,

Yes you will, your spirit will be bright as a star and fly higher than a bird.

“Can we do that again?”

He kept seeing tomorrow a day to just do it all again.

Yes we can. We can do it all again.

We can keep shinning and flying everyday. I love you son.(c)9/16/20010(SharonSmith)

Hello Rookie70, you will first have to have children than have grandchildren to understand the memories of what you have lived.

It is about me and my grandson watching planes. That was what he loved to do.

Thanks for your visit and question.
