A Poem: A Miracle Comes
My Baby Girl ...42 years ago
The universe speaks
Loudly, clearly, assuredly
“Change is coming
It is on the way
Do not try to understand it
A creation, wondrous and new every time,
Will come “
Miracle for You
The amazing day
On the planet now.
Your long-awaited miracle
A fragile, new life is now ready
loved hugged adored
suckled clothed bathed
sung to whispered to
Into your arms
This child of the universe
Eternally blessed by Angels who walk with this new life
Blessing, Guiding, Protecting.
By all that you know of the world
Another piece of your puzzle, of the circle,
Joining your family.

What would this new tiny miracle say….
“Love me. That is all I ask, love me.”
Such a simple desire
To be loved.
I think, at a child's birth, if a mother could ask a fairy godmother to endow it with the most useful gift, that gift should be curiosity.— Eleanor Roosevelt
Angelic Little Face
Show Me the Way
“Love me when I am crying, without ceasing
Love me when I am walking and touch things
Things I should not
Love me enough to teach me, to show me, to model for me
How to live.
Love me enough to teach me to problem solve
To make wise choices
To learn from mistakes.
Love me so that I learn to love others
Even those ‘others’ who are far different from me.
Love me enough to teach me about God—about His wondrous love and how life sustaining that is.”
My Parents Became the Wind Beneath My Wings....
A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on.— Carl Sandburg
Sweet Baby Girl
A Part of Us
The universe hails this coming.
We are given some knowledge that it will happen.
But no one is fully able to know what the promise of this new arrival will be
Every single birth is a miraculous occasion. Every single time it happens birthing a new baby
is spectacular....an event that continues our cycle of living.
Bringing a sense of renewal
A reminder to slow down
To cloak ourselves in every nuance of living this new child gives to each of us.
Feel the whisper of that new baby breath on your cheek
Let these moments become a part of your soul, your heart, and let them enable you to become a better you.
Hold puppies, kittens, and babies anytime you get the chance.— H.Jackson Brown Jr.
Where This Came From Today
This stream of consciousness writing (as I choose to term it) arose from me today because it is my birthday. I did not mention that at the onset because it is not about my birth...it is about the birth of any new child.
These thoughts came to mind as I arose this morning. I wondered how my Momma and Daddy felt when back 67 years ago (that many candles on a cake and the fire department is summoned!!!) I was born on this day.
Of this I am certain, they loved me so very much that I never had a moment in my life that I felt anything but that love.
It was unconditional and was indeed the 'wind beneath my wings.'. O, I was not Miss Goody Two Shoes at all times so I was scolded and even had to select a green switch or two to be used on my legs...but I knew I was loved.
Part of loving me was being my parent and not my best friend. Time for that came later when I was grown and had my own little one.
Perhaps I should have entitled this : Thank you, Momma and Daddy, for loving me and for teaching me to love.
