Top Toddler Toys 2016
Toddlers learn while they play. That's why I have always liked toys that stimulate either a toddler's mind or their bodies.
In top toddler toys 2016 we will review some of the best new toys for toddlers.
Melissa & Doug Stacking Train
Melissa & Doug staking trains are made of solid wood and it comes with interchangeable pieces. This train is suitable for ages 2 and above. It has a solidly built engine with the multicolored freight cars, which carry stacking blocks. Sturdy pegs linking the cars of the train. This brightly colored wooden train has 15 pieces to help develop your child’s imagination. The overall length of this train is around 17 inches.
Mini Roller Coaster
This exiting, fascinating and stimulating roller coaster is made from high quality wood. No assembly is required and this toy is ready to play with, straight out of the box. The roller coaster teaches color identification, fine motor skills and counting skills. This toy provides some of the building blocks for the intellectual development a toddler needs.
Infants as young as 9 months will spend hours moving the beads around the track.
Schwinn Roadster 12-Inch Trike
Schwinn Roadster comes with a unique retro style body. It is a very cool ride for a toddler. The tricycle comes in pink for girls or red for boys. The Schwinn's low center of gravity makes it harder to flip this tricycle over.
An issue with many tricycles is the length of the rider's legs. If they are too short they can't reach the pedals and if they are too long pedaling is uncomfortable. The Schwinn overcomes this by allowing you to adjust the seat with a nob underneath it.
Hasbro Playskool Busy Ball Popper
The toy works by pushing the plunger. When you do the balls pop out the top, then they go rolling down the shoot. Then they pop out the top again. Sometimes the balls will pop out hard and go flying off. It doesn't seem to matter to the kids.
One year olds will need help playing with this toy, but older toddlers will be able to do it on their own.
From a parent's point of view the music can get a little annoying and you might have to retrieve the balls every now and again. The bottom line however is that your toddler will really enjoy this toy and it will become an important part of any toy collection.
Melissa & Doug Geometric Stacker
This is an evolution of the basic stacking tool we all use to have as kids. I like that the toy introduces toddlers to many basic geometric shapes and that they can stack the pieces in any sequence they like.
The set has 25 colorful pieces.
The quality of this toys is typical of Melissa and Doug toys and I don't hesitate to recommend it to parents.
Prince Lionheart Wheely Bug - Bug - Large
Prince lion heart wheeley bug is a beautifully crafted, handmade toy for young kids. This wheeley bug would encourage your child to sit onto it and move around with his little legs. The action helps them to develop their leg muscles at a young age. The wheels helps a toddler to move easily and two or more children can play with these bugs. This bug is made up of material which is entirely non toxic and contains no PVC. The toy is padded with a layer of soft sponge which has smooth, rounded corners. This means your toddler won't hurt themselves badly, if they fall on it.
The toy also comes in a cow and bee theme.
Rub A Dub Abc & 123
Rub a dub ABC and 123 is a great toy for teaching young children letters and basic numbers. It has 62 pieces in all. The pieces have bright colors and are made from wood or soft plastic. The pieces stick to tiles when wet. This feature makes it a great bathroom play set.
Fisher-Price Interactive Baby Grand Piano
Most small children love music. This baby grand piano serves as a good musical friend for your toddler and will teach your toddler to play simple songs with their little fingers. The grand piano features bright colors, songs, lights and clever new teaching concepts. There are three modes to help your toddler to play his music. Basic learning aspects like the alphabet, counting, opposites and so on were clearly worked in along with the music on the chords. Music notations can be noted with the numerals which come with the songbook. Tempo, style, pitch and volume can be adjusted according to your toddler’s preference.
