Child-father of the man

Children can really teach us a lot. That's why, Wordsworth has exclaimed-'child is the father of man'.

To be precise, I shall put here main points only.

1. First of all, child teaches you to be patient. You can not and should not get angry over a child's demand, expecially when he is very young. Because, a child lives under the impression that the whole world is for him only. So naturally he gets into cry, whenever he does'nt gets the thing he wanted. .

Be patient; a child's cry is also purposive and meaningful.

2 Secondly, child teaches you to be imaginative

A child is full of tremendous imagination. He things in a different way thjan we, grown-ups. So, in order to understand him, you have to get into his shoes. For that, you need to use your imagination.Child teaches you this.

3 Child teaches you to refer

Every child asks so many questions. Don't get bored by that. By that, he is giving you the oppurtunity to make him intelligent easily. You should get the ability to answer his questions in a palatable manner. For that, you may have to ask others, or refer books etc.

4 He teaches you to love-unselfishly

Parents love children for the sake of love only, without expecting anything- atleast in the childhood and boyhood stages. We love our friends/partners etc, with some metive of usefulness. But that can not be the case with children . They are so innocent, heavenly, and selfless, and pure. It is only the children who are loved , for the first time, selflessly.

5 they teach you how you were brought up.

It is only while rearing a child, you learn how were you behaving when you were a child- how you troubled your parents, how much leisure of their's was taken by you, how much helpless you were, how parents had to control their desires to bring you up, etc.Without reaing a child, you can not know this.

There are many other things which children teach us. That's why it is said- 'unless a person gets a child, he does'nt become a perfect man.'

I have written three books in Kannada language, on how I developed my son( whom I got very late in my life)..One book is the compilation of Questions and answers between me and my son.I noted that whenever I found time, for one year. That book is very popular. Another book is on the development of my son, right from his birth time, to till he became 5-6 years old..The third book incldes his actual sayings on his friends, school happenings, etc. This record helps to analyse the child's mind.

Child in the source of immesurable experiences. Observe him closely, react to him, and you will learn a lot.

This hub the answer to one of the questions put to me by a reader here. I hope this gives some insight to her.

Nice article and I feel the same way. We learn so much from them. Every time a child is born, a mother and father is also born who evolves along with the child. It is a great experience and I enjoy every moment of it.
