How to Use the Lifetime Warranty on Your JanSport Backpack for Repair or Replacement
JanSport Lifetime Warranty
If you need a backpack that will last (and who doesn't), look no further than JanSport. I have had the same JanSport bookbag since 1999 - and I still use it every day! I take this thing with me everywhere. It's been through Middle School, High School, College, Grad School, family vacations, trips in Mexico and Haiti, excursions to the Galapagos Islands, a Segway Tour of Nashville, and more!
These bookbags are not only extremely well made but they come with a LIFETIME guarantee. They will last a LIFETIME! Zipper breaks? No problem! Strap clasp breaks? No problem! Stitching coming undone? No problem!!! Send it in to their warranty department (even without proof of purchase) and they will repair or replace it. JanSport's warranty department is the best I've ever encountered. Amazing customer service!
I used to type up a letter explaining the problem. It could be something as simple as:
To whom it may concern:
I love my JanSport backpack, and I was quite disappointed when _______ broke. I would love to get this fixed so that I can keep the backpack. I've been so happy with the quality JanSport provides. Thank you for your help.
The warranty department at Jansport now wants you to fill out this simple form as well. Be sure to include a description of the problem in your letter. And make sure the bookbag is clean before sending it in too.
Your DO NOT need your original receipt or tag. I have sent my bag numerous times and they have always been repaired - which is precisely why I recommend JanSport so highly).
Pack up your clean backpack, your letter, and warranty form and send it to:

Repaired and replaced backpacks will be mailed back to you free of charge.
I like the original JanSport style - especially the ones with leather bottoms. The leather makes these backpacks last so nicely. The leather on mine looks great even after over 15 years of use. And these come in a variety of colors - check 'em out!
