Catherine Frias

Hi! I am glad you stopped by. I am really looking forward to introducing myself to you and getting to know you. If you have any questions that you want me to answer, please a comment on any of my posts. By the time I am done you will know much more about me than you bargained for. Ha ha ha, are you sure you want to know this information?

Ok, then. Let's go down memory lane for a moment, and I will be more than happy to tell you about myself and my family. Where I have been and How I got to where I am now. So take a moment to grab yourself something to drink, a bite to eat and a few paper towels. I will wait for you. I will be right here. Let me know when you are ready and we will get started with this journey.

September 9

When and Where I was Born

September 9th, Orange California

I was born in Orange, California on September 9th. I grew up in the heart of Orange County. By the time I got to Jr. High School, my mom and I figured we moved and changed schools often enough that it was like changing schools every year. But obviously that is not the case. Some years we stayed put for a while. I went to school in Orange County and had the chance to go to one of the few schools that was on the beach, I believe the other one is on the east coast. For the most part I was brought up in Catholic Schools up until Jr. High School and High School. I had been a proud Matador at Portola Jr. High and then became a Black Panther while I attended Orange High School. Being ahead of my classes in school I quickly became bored with school and wanted to know what it was like to attend College.

Important People In My Life

Friends and Family

Through out my life I have always had my mom and my aunts and uncles in my life. And from time to time my grandmother would live with us too.

My Uncle Don and Aunt Helen lived in Yorba Linda while I was growing up, my uncle always did all of our moving until I and my mom moved out of state. Then my cousin Donny and for the life of me I cannot remember my other cousins name other than "Tu Ez" that stands for two ways, cause my one cousin was always going two ways at the same time.

My Uncle Vern and Aunt Terry lived in Santa Ana, and I was very close to both. All my cousins Gloria, Veronica, Desi, Fankie, JoAnnie and then Baby Janie who came as a blessing before my Aunt passed away. I spent a lot of time at my uncle Verns house as JoAnnie, and I are only three months apart. Oh and I wish I could find the picture of us on our first Christmas, the two of us in a box with our dolls and happily playing away.

But in school some of my very best friends were Jacki, Brandi, Stacey, Susie, Richie, Greg, George and for some reason I only keep in touch with just a few of them. Jacki is in Washington, Brandi is in Colorado, Susie is in Arizona, Richie is in Nevada, Greg is in Texas. My how we all spread out. I don't know what happened to some of the rest of my friends.

Things About Me.. - Where should you store your keepsakes.

Everyone has their own ideas as to where we should keep our pictures and important documents. Here are some suggestions that I like to use.

Expect the unexpected

Life Happens

Life's Lessons that can only be taught by one person.

I married my high school sweetheart, Greg. To make things even more challenging I decided to go to school in a maternity outfit, made several friends due the fact I was pregnant. Never missing a beat from school, I came home one day from school and had just sat down to have dinner with my husband and mom. I then took a detour from the dinner table to the delivery room. Surprised at the moment my water broke, I looked up at my husband and mom and with a tear in my eye informed them that it was time. Crying at the fact that I was sitting on my moms brand new sofa when my bundle of joy made the announcement that it was time to go. The birth of my son James Edward had come promptly at 12:20 a.m. on March 20th. After being released from the hospital with my new bundle of joy, I decided to take James to school with me.

My professors and classmates alike were surprised to see me in tote with a little bundle of a blue blanket and a little head sticking out of it. Never missing a class during that term I took the next term off. With the pressure of having a new baby and not knowing what to expect, my happy little life took a slight turn for the unknown. Greg and I had parted ways, never putting our child in between us having a discussion, and we remain friends even to this day.

I returned to school and met my two younger children's father, Steven. This would be the start of a long battle that I had never experienced. While in my last year of school I found myself pregnant again. This time the stress was double as I was working full time and going to school at night. Again I had stuck to my guns and made it through school to receive my AA in Accounting. I thought about going for my CPA, but that did not seem to be in the stars for me at that time. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on March 15th around 7:30 am, Krystal Marie made her debut with all her glory. Steven and I also parted ways, and I found myself living in the great Northwest. Once settling in the Great Northwest, I had that aching feeling again. But I had been told that I could not get pregnant again for at least eight to nine weeks. Wrong, I had conceived my third child with Steven before we had separated and had no clue i was pregnant until I took my daughter in for her check up.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise March 11th at around 8:00a.m. Matthew Joseph made his grand appearance. Thus starting my journey of motherhood and having to work hard to provide for my children. Matthew was the last of the clan. I have studied my life line or shall we say my ancestry. And the stories that could be told, but that will be for another section. .

How I spend my Days Now.

This is a no brainer.

Since becoming disabled, I spend my time doing what I enjoy..Writing. I love to look up things and write about them, and that is what I do. And God forbid you get me going on a subject that I am passionate about. I will find my soap box and stand on it until everyone has heard what I have to say.

I have been told that i can be very charismatic and have a way about me that I can get others excited about what I am talking about too.

Well I hope you enjoyed my story of myself.

If you have read my "About me" Post. I would like to know some things about you. Like where you live and grew up. Do you have pets and children? Basically, what ever you would like to share with me.

Happy Writing!!
