Everyone has obstacles in our lives throughout our whole life. My grandparents have always taught me that no matter what has happened to find something positive out of it. Sometimes I find myself feeling self pity on something going on and it might not be until years later, when I see a positive out of a situation that happened years ago. For this reason I came up with a lesson that I taught my kids and it works for all of us. I think that it is more of a mental thing....either way....I call it the 3 day rule. You have 2 days to feel sad, angry, depressed, whatever on the 3rd day you wake up knowing that today is going to be good and let go of the bad things. Most of the time we dwell on the bad and forget the good. Ask yourself can you change it? Most of the time you can not so we need to find something positive about it and if there is something you can do to fix it, get it done.
Of course when I hear people talking about how bad their life is I remind them this...........look around things could always be worse. Everything I think we have it bad..........look around and things start looking bright and we have a lot to be thankful for.
