Do you think age has anything to do with how good of a mother you are?
No way. A girl starts her menstrual, which is when she is ready to produce offspring, at the age of 9-13. Girls don't play with baby dolls for no reason. It is something that is inside of all women (no pun intended). Even though if I had a daughter if she got pregnant any earlier than 25 I'd whoop her ass.
I had my first baby at 18 and my 2nd at 20.
I'll be conceited/vain/boastful and proud and say that I'm a badass momma.
Every single breath I take, every single sound that penetrates the tiny little hairs within my ears, every syllable spoken by or to my children it is filtrated through me.
Always has been and always will be.
It's whether or not you truly want to be a mother and recognize what you have and what you want and will do with it.
Your maturity level, ability to deal with stress, ability to multitask, and how much attention and care you are willing to give your child is how well of a mother you are I believe. Age doesn't mean a thing I don't think. Just make the child the main focus of you're life and don't worry about anything else.
I can't speak for others, but it made a difference in me. I married at 19 and had my first child when I was 30. No way was I ready for a child before that. I feel at 30 I was more willing to give of myself, and share my life than I was when I was 19.
Until the age of 26, I didn't even want children then in the blink of an eye it changed and I was ready--and loved every minute of it--and miss it still, 6 years after my youngest married and moved on.
in almost all cases it does. experience and living are the two best ways to become good at anything. 100's of years ago, females learned about being a mother from a very young age but these days it isn't so true. no one can say the exact age but if your in your teens, there is a better chance of failing then if your an adult.

If you could change the age at which you had your child/children, would you?I had my child at 21 years old, and I love her more than anything in the world, but there are times I think I'm missing out on a large part of growing up. My mom didn't have children until she was 30 and she said she...

We have all heard of attachment parenting and co-sleeping etc. But is it too much to be breast feeding your almost 4 year old son??? In my former profession as an RECE I have met many women who have done this and I have seen the results of this process, not always so positive especially in later...

My baby (15 mo) is not attached to any blanket or toy, she is extremely attached to me!Fault my parenting, may be. I have 3 other older children whom I did not have to stay with at home because I had a full time job for all their young lives until the youngest was 3 years old. For this baby, I have...
