My question is how can anyone feel they have no other alternative after a gruelling time period of abuse, especially when the care takers know of it but do nothing!
The following is an example of what bullying does to the victum 'which happened to me in grade school.' I had two fellow students in sixth grade (apparently held back a grade or two) who bullied me at every chance they had. I put up with it for many months until my reaction changed from attempting to ignore them to trying everything to stop them. I finally had to do something (feeling in the fight or flight mode): one of them jumped on my back during recess, I spontainesley tiped from my waist down and he ended up flat on the ground not knowing what hit him. His buddy sat behind me in class doing everything he could to harass me with no corrective action by the teacher. When I reached my point of no return I stood and turned around to him, broke my pencil, stating 'ONE OF US HAD TO DIE'. Apparently the school system finally took notice. I'm glad I did not have follow with my threat!
