Are you a fan of grandparents?
I'm very close to my grandparents (yes, both sides). I realized something back when I was young. I can get or do the things that I want when I'm with my grandparents. Like how you get a lot of chocolates when you're in their house or when they're around (My grandma's secret stash of chocolates: grandchildren only!) Or how you can write on their walls and all they say is, 'what a great artwork!'. How was your relationship with your grandparents when you were little?
You better believe it! I loved when we visited our grandparents and spent many of my summers at the mountain farm. So many memories created. I now am a grandparent and love being a paw-paw to my 2 grandsons.
Yes, I am. Mostly because my grandmother was my idol. She was strong in every situation, always friendly to others, and gave everyone mountains of gifts and presents. She believed that it was her job to spoil her grandkids and we were her joy, other than her children and the church. My cousins and I treated her house like a play-ground and even drew all over her music papers.
Yes, but my grandparents, or my kids' grandparents don't do what your photo says. They are loved for just being them. Telling wonderful stories. Sharing life.
Absolutely. I loved all four of m grandparents and the incredible stories they had to tell. I also love my daughter's grandparents as they're a great source of support and encouragement in raising her well.
I never knew my grandparents. I consider myself to be an amazing grandparent. I don't give my granddaughter all the bells and whistles...I give her lots of love, attention, hugs and kisses.
I am a big fan of grandparents. I do not believe that children should be allowed to do things that are not acceptable in their parents home though. I was not allowed to and yet I had a great relationship with my grandparents. My grandmothers played dolls with me and we had tea parties. One of my grandmothers invited her friends (all elementary teachers) over and we had a tea party and she allowed me to pour the tea for all. She allowed me to serve cookies to them that we baked. It was a very special memory. My grandfathers took me for walks and helped me learn to ride a bike and a horse. They had more time to spend with just me. Not my brothers and sisters and house cleaning. That waited while I was there.

Do you have any ideas of how a grandparent can be more relevant in the lives of their grandchildren. Some only have the reputation of being amusing.
