I, being a kid know how the bullying goes,.. in this day and age they say "No Tolerance" I always taught my children from when they were little not to take the bullying and to defend themselves no matter what. My little girl was being bullied by a boy every day in the class room, when I went to the teachers they told me that they don't "tolerate" it. they said they would keep a better eye on the situation. I picked up my daughter from school that day and the teachers took me to the side and said that my daughter punched the kid in the face. I said well what did the kid do to her, because she has been complaining and crying that she doesnt want to go to school and I told her if the boy does it again and she told the teacher s and the teacher s didn't do anything, that she was to protect herself. well she did. I was told no tolerance., I decided that no tolerance meant for my daughter not to tolerate it. if the teachers arent doing their job and not going to protect my child, I refuse to let them be bullied, hit or anything else. they were always taught to protect themselves.
I have a seven year old now who is going to need my constant protection and I don't know how to handle that now. My daughter Brandi is now 21, she is very capable and very intelligent. It seems like the "no tolerance" policy only pertains to certain people, or they say it when they want to sound important.
