What was your child's funniest word?

When children start to speak they sometimes create funny words.

I love family language because it is so unique to each family.  My oldest daughter had quite a few but one of my favorites was one that made no sense.  When she was a toddler, she would say "cuppa cuppa" for thank you when she was handed something.  She did it so often and so consistently that we sort of adopted it ourselves.  Her nickname was EJ when she was tiny and when she referred to herself she called herself Hee Gee.

Oh this has brought back some memories!  Thanks for the question.

Our first son spoke from a very young age, but sometimes got confused.. A hedgehog was a hoghedge, a guitar was a tigar. My favourite was Farmer Crispy for Father Christmas. Those were the days!

When my daughter was 2, she used to say "up and side down" to mean "upside down."  :0)

and she often put -ity at the end of words, so if I just drank my first cup of coffee in the morning, she's say my breath was "coffity.", :0)

Obviously you cannot hear what I am writing but my daughter had a hard time pronouncing her R's. But it made everything with the letter R in it sound so cute. Like Fur would be Fuh  Hurt would be hought. She is 10 now but every once in a while I hear it come out. I do not say anything to her about it because she is at that sensitive age, but I still find it adorable!

I've written a Hub about the funny things my toddler says.  The funniest and most embarrasing word though was "Clock" because she just ignores the "L"... Which is very embarrasing when she's pointing out the "Big cLock!".

For awhile my daughter always said the word "sure!".  Do you want some breakfast?  Sure!  Do you want to get dressed?  Sure!  I have no idea where she picked the word up, but she used it all the time.
