   How do I deal with rude neighbors?
   
   On a personal note, I have an upstairs neighbor who clomps around shaking my celling but comes down and is rude telling me that my tv is too loud and its vibrating her floors. When I apologize (even though it was actually low) she comes back at me with a "yeah cause its really annoying." Any thoughts?

   This could be your chance to say how thin the floors/ceilings seem to be in the building. Agree with her that noise travels, and say you can hear her walking about. Maybe ask if she has carpets/ rugs. Ask what time she goes to bed, saying that you can be extra careful with the noise, if she'll do the same for you. Look into headphones for your TV and music late evening. Move out as soon as possible!

   Unless you own the apartment MOVE! Move anywhere else. A weekend of stressful moving is better than dealing with a neighbor like that. If you are renting talking with the landlord may make things better, or make them worse. My suggestion to you is to find a house to rent. If that is not a possibility try asking the landlord if they can move you to another home/apartment.

      I would but we just moved in the day before yesterday. I don't even know how my tv was vibrating her floor. My son was watching his yoga for kids dvd. I don't know.

      Well if the neighbor ever feels like a threat you are protected under the landlord tenant act. Your landlord must provide a "safe" living environment for your family.

   Oh my, I have the same neighbour who clomps around. She has never complained about me. She is worse after 11pm. I would move if I could

   Wow! You've only been there a couple of days and she's really annoyed?  Yikes!  I have found that most of the time " Killing them with kindness" works best! Unless they are just extremely difficult people.  I would bake something and attach a note to it saying something like you know your going to be neighbors for a while and you'd liked to be considerate of each other space and comfort, and please except this as an apology.  Even if your TV wasn't loud enough to vibrate the ceiling above!  If that doesn't smooth things over, call the landlord.  Chance are if she's just  a miserable tenant the landlord is already well aware of it and perhaps she will be asked to move.  Who knows, maybe the last tenants left because of her and the landlord won't want to lose you too!  Good luck!!

   ignore her and complain to the person in charge of the building. No point arguing with rude neighbors. May create fights.

   Don't deal with her on a personal note anymore. If she's going to be rude to you then don't answer the door when she comes and knocks on it and possibly avoid going outside if you see her out there. Talk to your landlord about it and also call the police about noise complaints every time that she is unbearably loud for an unreasonable amount of time. Show her that for one you aren't going to let her push you around and that for two you aren't going to put up with her crap.
