    Half of our DNA is our mothers and our fathers. We're only half our parents sons or daughters, just as those we call our half brothers or sisters. I wouldn't call anyone my half sibling. That's literally impossible. which half is your sibling?

    I'd take it a step farther: Another case might be when your mother and her first husband adopted you and were the first and only parents you knew, but now your mother has a second husband. It's a whole difference role for your mom's second husband.
