   What was your proudest achievement as a child?
   
   My son just learned to ride a bike. From his reaction I can tell this is the proudest he has ever been of himself.So, I wondered if other people could remember a time in their childhood where they were very impressed with themselves.

   For me it would be finally learning an instrument and than becoming one of the more successful bass players in my area.

   I think my proudest moment as a child of 15 was to have my article on Maine seacoast tidal pools accepted by Junior Natural History Magazine of the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

   I won quiz in the county among thousands of my colleagues. I was 10.
   The second one was when I learned to play guitar. I was 14.

   As a child, when I was in intermediate school, I came in 2nd place in the spelling bee.  Other than that, not much really!

   You know growing up comes with a-lot of milestones.. I was still kind of a child when i graduated high school, 17 is still kind of a child right? But I must say this was my proudest moment I was the first of my parents 5 kids to do it and it was a struggle, considering i fell in with the wrong crowd and such. But I turned it around and even earned an academic letter for honor roll

   When I was 14, my father gave me a manual typewriter for 8th grade graduation. That summer, I borrowed books from the library on learning to type and taught myself to touch type before I entered high school. I was very proud of myself when I could type 25 words per minute!

   My proudest moment when I was a child was when I won a spelling competition, representing our primary school in our town of Kapangan beating all the contestants of different primary schools. I remember they give me a set of cereal bowls for that. I was so happy and grateful to be the winner. My parents were also proud because of what I achieved. I made my parents proud when I graduated with first honours in our primary school.

   I remembered running all the way back from school (about 3 miles away) when I came out top in class to show to my mum the report card. That was years ago when I was 8 years old. Yes, we walk 3 miles every morning and afternoon to go to school and it was fun as almost all of my classmates did it.

    when I was permitted at the age of 12 to drive the farm truck to the train station to load our grain onto the rail cars. 
    It was the greatest 2 miles of my life.

    when i was around 13-14 ... we were at a family / friends BBQ gathering and i spotted a 2 year old very worried and hanging on the edge of swimming pool as hard as she could. I handed my plate to the guy standing next to me then ran as fast as i possibly could to pull her out. 
    the next time we went to that house the guys had put up a fence around the pool.

    I won a (UK) South East tennis tournament when I was 10. However, all the attention got to me and I soon gave up the sport. My poor mother.

    I can't remember if it was my proudest (in fact, I'm sure is not) but I won a regional math competition several times and it felt good. haha
