What activities have you found useful for a grandchild during the holidays, if the weather is bad?

There are always loads of things to do when it's sunny but when it rains it's not so easy - winter holidays or really foul weather - so I'm looking for some good ideas!

Yes, I think they have to be post-toddler though they all like looking at photos so that would be a good place to start! They're fascinated by old photos & the concept of grannies having mums!

Great ideas! Thanks for answering. I know all children love to paint; lots of paper and covers necessary!!

Yes board games are well-liked by children - unfortunately, not by me! Don't know why - maybe it's having rules!!
