I would say some ways include:
1. No encouragement
2. Not spending time with them
3. Keeping them sheltered
4. Being judgemental

A couple I would say are:
-Forcing them to babysit constantly (other children AND the parents themselves, lol)
-Not engaging them in intelligent conversation requiring them to ask questions, answer questions, and think for themselves
Lack of car and love
Lack of proper communication
Lack of interest in their child's needs
