What causes some children to be more negative?
My neighbors child is very negative all the time, and she likes to come over and play with my kids but she always ends up being mad and not wanting to play.I've tried every aapproach I can think of.
I don't see it just being one thing that would cause a child to behave one way or another. I think it is a combination of a million things, including their environment, their parents availability both physically and emotionally, and their family members. We are developing our attitude towards the world long before we even enter it. Anyways I don't believe the human race has the knowledge to answer that question correctly as of now.
You may good points here thank you for commenting
The most open and honest answer is
The world around her, the world around us, she might be very spoiled or not spoiled at all.
She might really want attention or might really not want it.
Some of us were inherently good, then the world happened
Trying to understand instead of judging might help (not saying you judge)
This is only my opinion only.
good answer, I guess I just feel bad, and I want her to have fun.
It is her attitude. Maybe her parents didn't correct her from the start, negative thinking should be stopped from the beginning
That might be the case, I have been so lucky people are always saying how happy my kids are, they have their moments like all kids do,but they are happy most of the.time.Especially when they have more kids to play with.
It could be a chemical imbalance that could be improved by the right medicine, but I'd guess it is more likely living with constant criticism. In an otherwise healthy child, that is probably the cause most often. You never know what goes on behind closed doors. Even the people who are the nicest to others can be cruel to their own children.
I doubt you can do anything about it, except to provide a criticism-free zone at your house. I just spent a week with my sister who suffers from depression, and it is a challenge to stay positive.
I always try to encourage her a lot and involve her in the group,I will continue to do so,hopefully it will help.thanks for commenting

How do you deal with people who are very negative?Do you try to just ignore them or weave them into your smiling world?

Why do you love reading and books so much?I recently was given a part time job at our library after volunteering and applying. Although I am a complete bibliophile, I did not realize how books formed me during my lonely childhood. How they sustained me during adolescence, and continue to educate me...
