Parents on Facebook: Are they robbing children of their privacy before they even have a choice?

Parents today can't stop sharing photos of their kids on Facebook, from the first ultrasound picture through every birthday, achievement, graduation or even embarrassing accidents. Is that opening children up to identity theft, or even kidnapping by having so much personal information about them publicly accessible? Once something is online it's almost impossible to completely erase it. Or does no one have any real privacy anymore in today's electronic age?
