If kids are taught early to respect them, and if they are kept safely stored the chances of any issue arising is zero.
The problem is often the only thing kids know about guns is the negative and dangerous info learned from TV and movies. That and stupid adults...

I've had guns in my home as long as I've had kids. It's about education and safety precautions.
My oldest is 25, and my youngest is 5 (I have 6 :D), as well as 3 grandkids, and NEVER had a problem with the guns in my house.
