Euthanasia is a chickensh** way out. I think you have to suffer to appreciate life. I think it's what you must go through to get to your right place. I also think when we are witness to someone's suffering it is a way of honoring their lives, by sticking by them through the hard part. I think watching suffering can be harder than the suffering. Sometimes I think those who push euthanasia are too lazy or apathetic to take the time to help with the passing of a loved one. I don't believe we are to interfer in what is their journey. And there is a lot to be learned about courage and faith and love. I believe some of those who choose euthanasia, to please others. Whether out of love or a sense of inconviencing someone.
Life is not always fair, children get sick and suffer horribly, but I would bet if they were asked without pressure or prior knowledge they would choose life. Cause they have hope! They want to live as long as they can, get every moment suffering, pain or not. Euthanasia has no hope, you just throw your hands up and say "I'm done." and it's not even your call. Let the creator decide. There may be something you need to know, if you miss it, you'll have to start all over again.
We need to experience all aspects of life not just the good part. Euthanasia is nothing more than abortion done after birth. Those who think it's compassion are probably the same ones who wouldn't spend hours beside a hospital bed. Life is about love, pain, suffering, conquering, learning, and as our society leans more and more towards an entitlement mentality you'll find this type of murder becomes more and more accepted. And to condone it because of the cost is reprehensible. Euthanasia to relieve financial issues is crazy. Compassion is what you learn when you witness suffering. Not what you learn from ending it.
