From a Nana's Eyes...
Being a Nana has given my life new meaning. The Lord has blessed me with three precious grandchildren - Brayden, Breanna, and Carlie. To see their smiling, happy faces fills my heart with such joy! To hear their laughter and to hear them at play brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart!
When I see them, and they run into my arms, it's a feeling like no other! To see the delight on their face and to hear the excitement in their voice when they call out my name makes me feel like I'm special in that moment. And it's little moments like these that make life worth living!
I remember my mother telling me once that "grandchildren are like an extension of your own children", and she was right! It's like having my children back again and getting to enjoy them all over again! And to see my own daughters in their children is so beautiful!
When God gave us grandchildren, He gave us the moon!
Brayden was born to my oldest daughter, Janna. He is a special needs little boy, and he is our "miracle baby"! Born prematurely, Brayden has suffered many problems in his young life, but he's my hero! Nana believes that God has something special in store for him!

Breanna, or as we call her, "Bree" is my oldest grand-daughter. She is Janna's youngest baby and Brayden's little sister. Bree is my morning sunshine, as she makes each day of my life bright and cheery!
Grandmas hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever.
Carlie is my youngest grandchild, born to my youngest daughter, Jessica. She is the apple of her Nana's eye! Her laughter and sweetness warm my heart each time I see her!
Grandchildren are God's way of compensating us for growing old.

I Am "Nana"
One last thing in closing...would you like to know how I came to be called "Nana"? No, it wasn't because that was the name my daughters or grandchildren chose for me. Okay, here goes...now don't laugh too hard! Remember Disney's movie, Peter Pan? And remember the dog who acts as a nursemaid to the children? Yep! You got it - her name was "Nana"! *smile* After I saw this movie, and I fell in love with her, I loved how she took care of the children. So I decided that I wanted to be called Nana. Plus, it's really cute if I try to get the mommies in trouble with the grandkids, and I say, "Poor Nana", just like they did in the movie! Everyone gets a kick out of it! So...there you have it! Aren't you so glad I shared that with you? *giggle*
A grandmother is a mother who has a second chance.
