Bob Stroller, Parts, and Accessories 2017

Updated on January 7, 2017

An Awesome Stroller With Cool Parts and Accessories

The first thought that came to me when I heard a friend mention her new "Bob Stroller" and how excited she was about it was "What in the world is a Bob stroller?" If you're having the same thought, you're in the right place. I'm going to explain exactly what a Bob stroller is in this lens and then show you some pretty awesome Bob stroller parts and accessories.

After you've read the lens, if still have questions about Bob strollers or Bob stroller parts, throw them in the guestbook. I'll answer them as time permits. I've even included some useful videos about Bob strollers as well. If you're extremely excited about Bob strollers, please take a second to vote in the poll down below.

What exactly is a "Bob Stroller?"

Basically, a Bob stroller is a stroller designed for rugged use with three wheels. It has two wheels in the back and one wheel in the front, similar to a tricycle wheel design. Most of the Bob strollers feature an easy-to-fold and store design as well. The front wheel swivels for greater control while you are turning the stroller; however, it can also be locked in the straight position if you want to run or jog while pushing your baby stroller. This is a key feature and I would never recommend that you jog without the swivel wheel locked in the straight position...too risky for you and your child.

Everybody Loves Variety and Accessories

There are many different varieties of Bob strollers including strollers that are made for more than one child. There are also many different Bob stroller parts and accessories that have been made to improve your Bob stroller in almost any way you can imagine.

There are even parts that let you take your baby's car seat from the car and lock it into the stroller for easy get-out-of-the-car-and-go action. The constant addition of several different types of Bob stroller parts are one of the reasons that the Bob strollers are so awesome. You can customize your stroller just about any way that you can imagine!

Bob Single Snack Tray

This neat little attachment lets your child eat their snack and have a drink while you're on the go. If you're tired of having to stop and take your child's drink out of your drink holder and give it to them when they're thirsty, this is the accessory for you. It has both a snack tray and a drink tray and attaches easily to any stroller with a Bob accessory adapter.

There are just a few drawbacks to this one. It can't be used with the duallie strollers as it has only been designed for the single Bob strollers. It's also not very useful if you're only using your Bob stroller to jog or run with the child. The snacks are not likely to stay secure and you'll find yourself stopping every few seconds to pick up the drink that has fallen out of the drink slot. Finally, it does sit a little bit high, so the child will probably have to reach for their snacks and the tray may block their view.

Infant Car Seat Adapter for Britax

The Bob Infant Car Seat Adaptor is another excellent Bob stroller part that every parent of an infant should have.

Infant Car Seat Adapter

If you have a compatible Britax infant car seat, and a Britax Bob stroller with the accessory adapter, this part will work perfect for you. It allows you to take your Britax car seat out of the car and place it directly on the adapter attached to the stroller. Once you hear the click, you're all set and baby is safely secured to the stroller.

Although this is excellent for normal use, you'll find that if you use the stroller for running with the baby, you'll notice that the baby does bounce a bit, which obviously is not so good for baby. Also, this is only compatible with single-child Britax Bob strollers that have the accessory adapter. An important note should be stressed here: Models made prior to 2008 do not feature this adapter.

I like Bob strollers, I'd like to get one for jogging after I have my baby. I know a lot of women around here use them to jog with and help get the baby weight off. I loved your lens, very informative and a great place to find parts and accessories as well.
