Breakfast Ideas For Work At Home Moms

Updated on January 15, 2013

First Time Fillers

I am a morning person and I should be. I start my work 4am in the morning and my kids go to school by 7. Even though I work 7 days a week, morning is still my favorite time of day. I feel energized when I think that I am ahead of everyone and am always glad that my Creator blessed me with another beautiful day. Every morning, I make sure that I get something to eat or drink, either to give me a boost or because my stomach is already churning after a night of dieting. I just want to share with you these amazing things I wake up to:-)

Option Belgian Chocolate - Mint Madness To Start Your Day

It's a Saturday morning and I am looking forward to a great weekend. I didn't have any stock of my favorite instant coffee left so I looked in my cupboard what I can have as a replacement. Voila! An Options Belgian Choc Mint Madness powder drink. I've already tasted it once and I am glad I am having another cup today. This bottle is given to me by my sister in law from England and it is my first time to try this product. What I can say is you can just get a single scoop of this and you'll have a blast of chocolate mint madness in your whole cup of water. I don't want extremes when it comes to chocolate drink. The minty taste is just enough too for me. As I write this, my cup is already half empty.

A cup of a minty drink in the morning makes me feel nice and comfy although I am still longing for that cup of coffee I use to have daily. All in all, I will give this a drink a 4 out of 5.

Dine Out Breakfast - Jollibee Breakfast Meal

Don't know what to have for breakfast? Once in a while, my husband and I opt to dine out for our breakfast. One of our favorite places to go is, where else, Jollibee!!! That's one of the saddest thing living in Manila. We don't have much of that good choices when it comes to eating out from 12 am to 8 am in the morning. It's either Jollibee or McDonalds. We can also eat on a nearby karinderia serving the same breakfast meals but we usually choose the better one when it comes to the place. The breakfast eatery Emman's near our place is clean and serves delicious meals too but you have to suffer with the honking of cars since it's near a busy street.

On the Jollibee branch we eat, we usually choose a spot on the second floor where we have a view of the busy street while we eat. What's good about that view you may think? For me, it reminds me of how lucky I am that I work at home and I don't have to commute and endure the never ending traffic to and fro the office. Don't take me as cruel because I had five years experience in commuting and these days, I can hardly believe I was able to survive. Traffic in Edsa is classic 5 years ago, I can't imagine how it is these days.

Today, I gave in to the pleasure of trying Jollibee's latest Pork Steak Meal. It's relatively cheap and satisfied my hunger. It's crispy and hot upon serving and the barbecue sauce is not too sweet. I've partnered it with a macaroni soup and a hearty laugh with my favorite breakfast partner which is of course my husband.

What did you have today for breakfast?
