Easy Easter Crafts for Kids
I got this book for my 5 year old daughter and 5 year old niece. They both love to make things and loved the items in this book. My daughter wanted to make so many things for each holiday, we didn't come close to making all of them. There are some items that are a bit lame, but the others make the book worth it. I only had to buy a few low cost craft items like felt squares, pipe cleaners, ribbon, and the like to make the items in the book. Everything else we had in the house (egg cartons, construction paper, material scraps, ...).
If you have "crafty kids" this is a good idea book for them. It would also be good for preschools, elementary schools, and churches.

NOW for the real fun.
Give you little one a rolling pin and some cute cookie cutters.
Let them roll out the dough and cut out the shapes. Poke a hole in each of the "cookies" let them dry overnight, flipping so both sides will dry.
Then thread with some yarn or ribbon and hang!
Easy Easter Crafts for Kids ~ Bunny Ears
Easter is such a fun time of the year! These bunny ears are quick and easy for kids to make, and they'd make perfect Easter party favors. All you need is an inexpensive dollar store head band (cloth covered works best), 2 pipe cleaners, and 2 pieces of craft felt per set of ears. You can make one pair of Easter bunny ears, or make a dozen for a party. Better yet let all the kids make their own for a fun Easter party craft.
Kids will love to put on these fun bunny ears and pretend they're the Easter Bunny. Paint the tips of their noses pink and let them hop around the house to hide a few Easter eggs.
* 1 piece purple felt (or whatever color you want to make your bunny ears)
* 1 piece pink felt
* 2 pipe cleaners
* 1 cloth covered head band (from a dollar store)
Step 1: Cut 4 large bunny ears from the purple felt. You might want to draw out a pattern first to get the size right.
Step 2: Cut 2 inside ears from the pink felt.
Step 3: Fold the pipe cleaners in half, and wrap the ends 1 time around the top of the head band where you want the bunnies ears to be located (see photo). Use a little glue around where the pipe cleaner is wrapped to hold it in place.
Step 4: Glue one large felt bunny ear to the back of each pipe cleaner ear.
Step 5: Glue a second felt bunny ear to the front of each pipe cleaner ear, make sure you use plenty of glue on the pipe cleaners and the inside of the ear.
Step 6: Glue the pink inside of the bunny ear to the top of the purple ears, so it is centered with purple appearing all the way around the outside.
Step 7: After the bunny ears have dried kids can wear them for Easter, or just for fun.

Dying Easter Eggs--the Natural way!
This Easter, why not color your eggs using nature's very own dyes? It's possible to come up with a great number of colors using natural ingredients that can easily be found in almost any kitchen.
Pale Red: Fresh beets or cranberries, frozen raspberries
Orange: Yellow onion skins
Light yellow: Orange or lemon peels, carrot tops, celery seed or ground cumin
Yellow: Ground turmeric
Pale green: Spinach leaves
Green-gold: Yellow Delicious apple peels
Blue: Canned blueberries or red cabbage leaves
Beige to brown: Strong brewed coffee
To dye the perfect Easter eggs the natural way, here's what to do:
1. Place eggs in a single layer in a pan. Cover eggs with water
2. Add a teaspoon of vinegar.
3. Add the natural dye material for the color you want your eggs to be. (The more eggs you dye at once the more dye material you will need to use.)
4. Bring water to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Remove the dye material. Remove eggs and put them in a bowl. If you want your eggs to be a darker shade, cover them with the dyed water and let them stand overnight in the refrigerator.
