Using Educational Posters and Wall Art For Child Development

Educate Your Child With Wall Art Posters - For All Ages
Wall art for kid's rooms can do more than just decorate - it can educate. My daughter is a special education teacher and utilizes this style of education by decorating her classroom with educational posters and charts. This gave me the inspirational idea and found that children enjoy and appreciate the decorative learning aids in their room - especially as they develop study habits and retain the knowledge by the repetition of viewing the wall art decor.
Posters can vary in size for different areas of the room, but there are also standard size posters. These are inexpensive and easily interchanged within a frame as subject interests change, or just stick push pins in for temporary hanging. There are also choices in art prints; a little pricier, but adds a theme to the room.
Posters are usually reasonable in price and easily interchangeable. As a baby grows to toddler and, eventually, enters school, a child can learn by being surrounded with updated and topical posters. From the basics of the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, cars, farm and wild animals, as well as the ever-popular dinosaurs to the elements of science, chemistry and even guitar chords. Posters are educational art tools that are easily referenced as as teaching aids.
I hope you'll find some of these educational art posters useful or, the very least, give you some ideas on how to help your child learn what is needed in a particular time of life.
All About Time
Time Management and Schedule Planning
Children can learn how to manage their time, and plan out activities by learning to tell time. Although, many clocks are digital, teaching a child how to tell time instills the basic concept of "time management." When it's time for school, dinner and bedtime; this teaching aid will assist in helping the little one adjust to the fact that days are made up of minutes and hours.
By understanding time, it will be a big help in the morning routine, such as waking for school in the morning. A child's morning can be scheduled for dressing, breakfast, and whatever personal time is needed before running out the door to start the day.
It is also a great teaching aid for when school is over and scheduling the rest of the day. A child will learn "time management" for activities before dinner; whether it be play, homework or chores. Help your child set a routine; but don't forget "free time" which everyone needs.
By learning the direction of hands as they move around the clock, it illustrates the passing of time. By being interactive, it puts the whole idea of planning the day under their control, and makes life so much easier.
A wall clock can teach a child how to read time and how to set time. Learning to set the time crosses over into setting alarms. Although, many clocks are now digital, you can have both to compare and teach numbers by placing a digital clock in his or her room as well. You can help set their schedule by setting a time and letting them watch the digital clock until the appropriate numbers come up - learning the concept of time progression. It also instills a sense of pride of the new knowledge, and encourages the specific routines - which makes life easier for everyone.
Use Wall Art to Inspire Imagination
Solar System Space Poster
A solar system poster with facts about each planet. Will intrigue the youngest of explorers' imagination.
Introduce Space Travel to our Future Generation
Educational room decoration doesn't have to suffer with all the beautiful colors and art design of today's educational tools and teaching resources. There's the solar system that shines when the lights are out (and doubles as a "night light" if needed) and designed to intrigue even the youngest of minds.
Learning about and being able to name the planets is just the preliminary step in understanding the universe and it's vastness. It increases the imagination to know that there is so much more to our world then just our planet. There are also other learning aids, such as galaxies, suns, milky way, black holes in addition to just the individual planets and their descriptions.
Increase their awareness for exploration and adventure outside of their own world. Their generation may be traveling to Mars.
My three year old grandson was telling me all about the planets. He was really excited about the solar system which he had seen on an educational TV show. My daughter now has the planets in his room which are sticky wall decals that can be easily removed when he becomes interested in learning about something else.
Take the Opportunity to Encourage Positive Affirmations
Promote Positive Affirmations & Encouragement
Educational posters don't have to be limited to academics, they can be great for encouragement and inspiration for children. They can also be affirmations for children going through a particularly tough time. Whatever reason you use them for, they can be personalized and used for the appropriate issue or situation.
Build confidence in your child and their friends who visit. Let your child pick out the appropriate or picture to fit their feelings and emotions. Perhaps there is a bullying situation ongoing at school or with a neighborhood child. Or take the opportunity to advocate courtesy and respect for others. There is a vast amount of options to choose from - remembering they can be interchanged as different emotions and feelings com into play. motivational poster quote

Multiplication Poster Print
There's a Pattern for Multiplication and Division
There is an identification process in recognizing patterns used in multiplication. Having a multiplication (or division) chart hanging on the wall of a child's room or study area can be an easy reference point. Calculators do not teach the basics when used for homework or home schooling, and many classrooms do not allow them.
So much of multiplication is memorizing the times table. Having a chart for reference while doing homework makes it less tasking for that inevitable math homework. Checking the chart for the answers will help a child improve their grades while helping to memorize the table over time. Check your child's classroom, they may have a reference chart for the multiplication chart as well. If not, ask the teacher if this teaching aid is allowed in the classroom. As long as they don't bring it out during tests, it would be a valuable teaching aid.
These multiplication charts for kids are a great educational resource. While doing math homework, a child will have an invaluable teaching aide at their disposal. The repetition will soon be memorized and the pattern discovered as your child's math skills accelerate.
