Ghosts Talking In Baby Monitors
Ghosts or Static Interference?
Baby monitors are meant to reassure parents that all is well with the baby. Picking up every single noise, all the coughs and creaks, squeaks and baby movements.
There's also the amusing noises that the parents make whilst settling down the baby, the ones that are never mentioned until friend are visiting!
Stories abound where baby monitors pick up other noises, disembodied voices, strange talking when there is no one else in the room.
Are these EVPs? ( Electronic Voice Phenomenon )
What are EVPs?
EVPs relate to sounds that are beyond our normal hearing level, often voices that ghost hunters claim are from spirits.
Anyone who has watched paranormal programs will see ghost hunters using expensive and sophisticated gadgets to hunt and record ghost phenomenon.
Baby monitors clearly do the same job in picking up the voices of the dead.
There is plenty of anecdotal evidence from parents that they are picking up clear sounds from their baby monitors, strange noises that are not relevant to the baby or indeed the environment.
These noises have been described as muffled, some resemble voices and some are distinct words. Laboratory tests and examinations by experts concluded that these sounds cannot be technically explained. They cannot be dismissed or debunked by experts within their field.
Sleep wee bairn
Scott and Martha were delighted when they moved into their first house in Sparks, Nevada. It was a tiny wooden single story with lots of character but needed work.
Martha was due to give birth at any time and Scott wanted to decorate the nursery and spent a lot of time making it beautiful. They were both proud of this room, the best in the house. When friends came in, some would comment on how cosy, warm and welcoming it felt. Everyone sat and rocked in the chair that had been in their family for generations and brought over as imigrants in 1850.
Baby Jack arrived on time, a healthy boy and he moved straight into his nursery.
One evening Martha was tired and lay on her bed for a nap. Only an hour into her rest she opened her bedroom door and looked at Scott with a frown; "who's with Jack?" she asked.
Looking at her like she was going mad, he told her there was nobody else in the house. She dashed across the room to Jack's nursery and opened the door quickly, looked in and quietly shut the door, shaking her head.
"What's up Martha?" he asked,. ..."I swear someone is talking to him!!".
She brought out the baby monitor and has clear as crystal a voice said "sleep wee bairn" in a broad Scottish accent.
Martha immediately took Jack out of the cot and brought him into the living room.
The lights on the monitor flashed again and a squeak was heard, a constant rythem; Scott looked the rocking chair to see if it was moving, as the sound was identical. The rocking chair wasn't moving, he went right into the nursery to check and there was no noise, so he moved the baby monitor out of the nursery the rocking noise stopped. He put it back and it began again, but this time they both heard this verse;
Wee Willie Winkie rins through the toon,
Up stairs an' doon stairs in his nicht-gown,
Tirlin' at the window, crying at the lock,
"Are the weans in their bed, for it's now ten o'clock?"
Four times it repeated then the sqeaking continued.
That evening Martha called the priest to bless the house, he made an appointment for mid-week.
All of a sudden there was a loud thud on their front door and if flew open, all the couple could do was stare at the door. Suddenly Scott's dad came though the door carrying a wooden box.
"Sorry about that kids, I tried to open the door with my knee because I was carrying my box of books - thought you'd like it".
Martha took the box and opened it, an antique leather bound book of Nursery rhymes was at the top of the pile, she opened it at a page that was book-marked with a photo of Scott's great granny, from Scotland, sitting in that very chair and reading from the same book, to a baby in a crib. The page that was book marked was Wee Willie Winkie!

Ghost heard in baby monitor
I mentioned this phenomenon to a friend who has just had a baby, she heard a voice so frightening that she called her husband and demanded he end his night out with friends to get home quickly. She was frightened to death of these ghostly voices in her baby's room.
When her husband arrived home and settled down, very skeptical, the lights on the monitor illuminated and a disembodied baby's voice said "mummy, mummy, I want mummy" but is was distant, almost like talking into a void, then the noise of a door opened and shut. Her husband ran upstairs but the door was open and all was well. Bearing in mind that their baby is a newborn and cannot possibly speak.
When he came down the stairs, the baby monitor lit up again and he heard his neighbor's distinct Scottish accent saying "Jack, sit down now and go sleepies".
They couldn't hear anything with their own ears but the monitor could pick up a distant hollow voice...of their neighbors!
