Free Printable Award Certificates For Kids

Updated on July 15, 2012

Encourage your Child to keep up the great work with an Award certificate!

For everyday good behavior, free printable reward bucks, tickets and charts work wonders, but what about those big things your child does? An Award may be in order!

Free printable awards are a great way to really congratulate your child for improving their grades, maintaining excellent grades, helping a sick or injured friend, finishing their first book on their own or any other situation which goes above and beyond your expectations!

When your child is bursting with pride adding and Award can really help reinforce that positive feeling and serve as a great reminder to them, which in turn reminds them of that great feeling and encourages them to keep being awesome!

On this page you will find some of my favorite sites for free printable award certificates- to be listed here, the site must not have aggressive pop ups, must genuinely be free, no signup required and they must offer free printable award certificates. You will also find here, a collection of my own free printable award certificates which you are free to print for use in home or at a school or daycare! Please see the note at the bottom of the page before sharing these online.

A quick Poll First - This is Anonymous

This poll helps me come up with new ideas for MORE free printables! As of June 22, 2012 the 9-12 year old category is leading with 21.9% of votes! I currently have three in progress, photoshop quit on me unexpectedly so as soon as I redo the lost work I will post them. Probably before July 1st, but sooner if possible.

If you have a specific theme in mind (I don't want to overlook any special interests) please feel free to comment (you do not need to join for that either). Please keep in mind that I can not create awards with licensed characters since I do not own the rights, but I may be able to find sites which do have them and post those links here.

Keep voting and I will keep trying to add more!

When I started making behavior charts I made one with candy graphics which quickly became my most popular. Some visitors to my other free printables have expressed interest in seeing this same design on more freebies so here it is, the candy design on an award certificate!

Free Printable Pirate Award for Boys

If your child does something which needs to be rewarded in late January or early February, why not help them get into the spirit of Valentine's day with a fun Valentine's Day Themed Award Certificate! Kids love to earn those special "once a year" or "limited edition" types of awards, something seasonal might be right up your child's alley!

This cute and fun Valentine's Day Award features a festive flourishing border blooming shiny red, pink and purple hearts throughout.

Sakura Theme - Free Printable Award Certificate For Girls

The Sakura theme has been one of my most popular designs. This cool, feminine award also has a matching behavior chart, chore chart, and reward tickets! If your little girl loves this type of flowery cherry blossom theme, then check out my other free printables as well and get her the whole, matching set!

The black steam train theme is my son's favorite. He has always had a deep love for things with wheels... especially trains! You will notice at the top there are two back to back tickets, these are for you to write either an encouraging message, quote, or name in- whatever you can think of!

Colorful Beads Free Printable Award

Sometimes I take photos for other articles and when looking through them later I see that they might look cute as frames on free printables. This was one of those cases! I wrote an article about organizing beads and one of the photos that I took in the process just seemed like it would make a cute background. This particular free printable award certificate might make a nice participant certificate or award for an arts and crafts, needing or sewing contest.

This would also be great encouragement for a child who is very crafty and just adores making things!

Many young children have a fascination with aquatic life. This ocean themed Award is bright and colorful with whimsical cartoon fish cheering your child on! This would be perfect for awarding your budding marine biologist for just about anything!

Keep it reasonable

When should you give your child a large, printable Award certificate, and when should you stick to reward bucks? If you give your child a big award for every accomplishment, the excitement dissipates and the awards no longer motivate the child as they once did.

Save these awards for special occasions! When your child uses the potty without help for the first time, when they bring home a straight A report card, when they make the extra effort to help out around the home during a difficult time (Mom having the flu for a week and the child does extra work without being asked...) these are all things that call for a special full sized award.

Things that are better suited to reward tickets, coupons and reward buck include things like feeding the dog, doing all of their regular chores, getting a decent grade on a quiz, letting Aunt Sally cover them in lipstick and pinch their cheek... reward bucks are used for the smaller accomplishments that still deserve recognition.

Whether you call it football or soccer, this award chart is simple and uncluttered. The basic green frame is adorned with four soccer balls as well as one larger one centered as a seal. This is a great choice for kids who are big sports fans!

I also give this particular award to my son when I see him exhibiting a good team attitude while playing sports with the neighborhood kids. This type of positive reinforcement helps him remember how to behave during a game.

Pink with butterfly Silhouettes - Free Printable Award Certificate for Girls

A bright pink frame with the silhouettes of butterflies frame this award. It is cheery, fun and the color scheme coordinates with one of this years hottest color combination trends.

Free Salvia Floral Award Certificate

Purple flowers are nice and girly, this is a girly award that the older girls might appreciate as well since there are no cartoon characters or silly pictures. It is just a simple photo of flowers.

I believe the flowers in the photo are salvia (please feel free to comment if they are not) but unfortunately the tag has long since blown away. I know I planted some salvia in that flower bed!

For the older girls... a photo of a dozen white roses frames the award. Classic, elegant and perfect girls of all ages.

Red Raspberry Free Award Certificate

This type of award might be good for a bake off or a "thanks for participating in the bake sale" type of certificate. The red raspberries are bright and rips and yes, they were delicious!

Whether the child is your own, a student, a friend's or a relative....

I committed to reidang "The Color Purple" for the Classic Award Winner category but I just can't do it! I found it boring and overly complicated. I guess I'm missing something since so many people like it and it's been made into a movie and Broadway show. Unfortunately, this one's going in the Did Not Finish pile... :(
