Just Mom

Updated on March 6, 2012

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night to a crying baby? Have you ever gone back to bed after feeding that crying baby and then had to get right back up to change your child again? I'm betting you might have thought, "I wish I had someone else here to get up to feed and change him part of the time so I don't always have to do it." Well, that's the life of a single mom.

Having it be just you at home can be quite stressful. You wish there was someone else there to pick up the slack. You wish you didn't always have to do it all. The night time is the worst, having to always be the one to get up when your child needs you. Sleep is something you rarely get. The life of a single mom is a hard one.

On the other hand, it's also very rewarding. If it's just mom at home, there's no dad around to have to share the love with. Your baby needs you, and only you. Your baby loves you the most. Mom is the one to cuddle her baby, hold her baby, feed her baby, play with her baby. You don't have to share him with anyone. It may be stressful at times when the bad times come around, but for the most part, it's one of the greatest things you could hope for. Your baby adores you, and you don't have to share that attention.
