Rufus, the Grade One Mascot
Rufus pays a visit
Rufus attends Coburg North Primary School where he enjoys his acclaim as the Grade One Mascot
First Grade teacher, Jacinta FitzSimmons, allows Rufus to visit the homes of his classmates and, one special weekend, he came home with Claudia.
This was an exciting event for Rufus and he was thoroughly thrilled with his sleepover in Claudia's new house.
Part of his weekend visit was the Sunday Outing with Nanna Susanna.
Rufus meets Zoe
A light lunch of fruit, shared with house zebra, Zoe.
Rufus takes a stroll
After lunch, Rufus took a stroll down to the Merri Creek (conveniently located at the back of Nanna Susanna's house) and, after admiring the creek running high, displayed a desire for some physical exercise. As you know, zebras like to keep active.
Claudia gave him a guided tour of her favourite playground (also conveniently located at the back of Nanna Susanna's house) where the little chap spent a carefree hour on the swings and slides.

Rufus likes the Monkey Bars
You have to be brave, as well as strong, to tackle the monkey bars.
Rufus was equal to the challenge!

Get your own Zebra!
Perfect whenever you feel like a snuggle. Isn't that all the time?.
Rufus ventures further
Eager to see as much as possible, Rufus struck out further along the creek to investigate the noise from the nearest sports oval. How delightful! A junior soccer match!

A Long Day for a Little Zebra
The afternoon just flew by. Swings, slides, monkey bars, noughts and crosses, followed by a rowdy fifteen minutes of barracking for a bunch of small boys running around a football field.
Rufus was tired out. Claudia was too. Nanna Susanna just wanted to take her shoes off.
Time for a sleep, Rufus
What do you think?
Should Rufus be allowed these weekend trips?
