Tooth Fairy Pillows for Boys & Girls

Updated on January 9, 2013

Tooth Fairy Pillow Monsters

Boys are as excited as girls about losing their first tooth, so why are there so many great tooth fairy pillows for girls and so few cool boys' tooth fairy pillows?

Freakadoodles tooth fairy monster pillows are perfect for boys and girls. They're handmade stuffed felt monsters that have a tooth-shaped pocket to hold a tooth until the Tooth Fairy arrives to collect it, and a back pocket to hold whatever treasure the Tooth Fairy leaves behind.

Every tooth fairy pillow monster is a little different, and they're all available in my Etsy shop, Freakadoodles. Visit the shop to see them all, or keep reading to learn more.

How My Tooth Fairy Monsters Came to Be

Looking for a tooth fairy pillow for a boy

When my son was about to lose his first tooth, I wanted him to have something special to leave out for the tooth fairy, just like his sister did. Hers was a simple pillow I had made with pretty fabric and a little pocket, and I knew he wouldn't think it was very cool.

I had an idea to make a monster-shaped tooth fairy pillow instead. I sketched out a shape, and sewed him with blue fleece. I gave him little horns, funny eyes, crazy hair, and a not-very-scary monster mouth. Then I made him one big tooth that was sewn on as a pocket to hold my son's lost tooth. The tooth pocket wasn't big enough for a dollar or even a quarter, so I added a jeans-style back pocket for the Tooth Fairy to use for whatever she left behind.

My son fell in love with this silly monster immediately, and he named him Bob and drew a picture of himself holding his new friend. Bob was so popular with my kids, that I decided to make him some relatives, and Freakadoodles tooth fairy monster pillows were born.

We tied our lost tooth into a knot on a white hanky. I love your choices. Cute! ***Blessed by a SquidAngel***
