Chickpeas and Peanut Chaat (Chana & Mungfali Benefits) - Immunity booster, good for dieters and tastes amazing
We all live a very hectic life these days. This busy schedule and never ending work has definitely affected our health. There is a need of some healthy stuff which can energies us and provide us all required nutrients and off course it should not have the oodles of calories. Here I am sharing a very healthy, simple and quick recipe straight from my kitchen. It can be easily carried to the office as well. All ingredients are already available in our kitchens. Add it in your regular diet and see the magic it does to you.
What all we need?
Small Bowl of Chick Peas or Kabuli Chana (soaked overnight or at least 4-5 hours)
Small Bowl of Raw Peanuts
Green Chilies (optional)
Cilantro or Coriander Leaves
Chaat Masala (easily available in Supermarkets)
Chaat Masala works wonder with salads, fritters and gravies.
What nutrients we get from the each ingredient used?
Peanuts: - Peanut is a legume with all the qualities of almond. It provides us necessary oils. It is packed with nutrients, minerals, antioxidants and vitamins.
Chick Peas: - again from legume family. It is rich in dietary fiber, protein, manganese, iron and antioxidants.
Tomatoes: - Juicy, low in calories and healthy. Tomatoes are sometimes categorized as fruit, as it has all the vitamins and properties of an apple. These are also having lots of mineral content.
Potatoes: - Potatoes are good source of Iron and copper. It has fibers and other health benefit. It should be baked or boiled for maximum benefits.
Lemon: - A citrus fruit well known for Vitamin C. A great immunity booster with the amazing qualities to purify blood.
Onion: - Adding raw onion to your food helps to reduce the risk of gastric ulcers, boosts immunity.
Adding all these nutrition’s in just one plate is amazing and it tastes awesome. You can keep the ingredients in the fridge and prepare it in a jiffy.

Method is very simple.
1) Boil, peel and chop the potatoes
2) Pressure cooks Chick peas till it is soft. (Note- Always add some salt while boiling chick peas)
3) Chop Onion, chilies and tomatoes.
4) Mix all the above,add dose of immunity booster, Lemon juice.
5) Add salt, pepper and chaat Masala to taste
6) Garnish it with coriander leaves
(Consume immediately, if you want carry it, add salt later). This salad is good for all age group. It promotes hair growth, good for eyes, nails and skin. It helps to control appetite hence good for weight lose.
