Whether you live in a luxury penthouse, a tiny beat down apartment, or a huge mansion. Us women need to know how to do some of these basic things. Some of the things, most women already know how to do. However, some things would usually be reserved for the man of the house. However, men ain't always gonna be around. Put it this way, when he is watching the game, or out playing golf with his buddies you had better get a handle on some of these simple things.

1.Whip up a decent meal in no time at all

So, you have like 20 minutes to whip something up because you are hungry as hell. It has to be delicious, but it has to be quick. No, not toast and cheese! Something that will hit the spot but that still demonstrates your excellent cooking skills!

2.Change Lightbulbs

If you don't know how to change a lightbulb by now, learn! Changing a lightbulb is not rocket science, you don't want to be left in the dark now do you?

3.Flip your own circuit breaker

Huh circuit breaker? What? Well when you are blow drying your hair or blastinng your music on your stereo. You never know what could happen. You need to know where to go to flip your breaker! Learn!

4.Catch a bug, kill it, and get rid of it

You might be scared of bugs but when there is no one around to get rid of it for you. Guess what, you got to do it yourself. So get over your fear, and get to squishing!

5.Clear a blocked toilet

Some blocked toilets do not requre a plumber! Or, your man, or man friend. Get your plunger out ladies! Yes you can buy pink rubber gloves with feathers and a pink plunger if you like! Just get to plunging!

6.Patch up a whole in the wall

Does a small hole in the wall leave you reaching for the Yellow Pages? Put it back! You got this ladies! Learn and show them what you are made of!

7.Hang a mirror or picture the right way

Don't be scared! You can do it!

8.Fix a leaking Faucet

Sounds like a big task, but you can do it!

9.Learn Self Defence

You should know the basic self defence techniques just in case someone tries to attack you.

10.Reboot your computer

Most women probably know how to do this. But if you don't it is time to learn.
