Fierce Mustard Salmon…

Yields: Serving size of 4 to 6 ounces


  • 4 (6 oz.) salmon steaks
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 2 Tsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 tsp Peper seasoing
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 4 Tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 4 sticks Thyme

Directions for getting it right

  1. Combine lemon juice, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and rub into Salmon steaks. Then take the olive oil and base the bottom of the baking pan. Now take the teaspoons of Dijon mustard and rub it over all the ingredients on both sides of the tuna steak. DO NOT OVER SEASON THE SALMONS STEAKS YOU WILL REGRET IT. Note: You can rub it on one side instead of two if you chose to have a lighter flavor fro your taste buds. Once you are done with the rub place 2 pieces of thyme on the bottom of the oiled areas of the baking pan than place the Salmon steaks underneath the oil and thyme sticks. Do this only of you didn’t do a Salmon bottom mustard rub. Place the steaks into the oven and let bake for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. The combination of just the right amount of lemon and mustard should give the Salmon a well balanced taste if neither ingredient is over or under done. After 10 minutes cut one of the steaks in the center the center they are done when they do from peach to peach with white lines coloring follwoing.
  3. This dish should to be served with brown rice, stemmed or uncooked vegetables and bowl of fruit for dessert. Another great way to serve this dish would be in tortilla wraps with a salad filled center (add some walnuts) to the concoction for even more health benefits (see below). Salmon tends to have a very strong taste that doesn’t blend with everything and often tends to feel very clawing if eaten too much.
  4. Most diets these days are asking for a day in which fresh Salmon is served. We are now living in the era where people are more concerned with living a healthy lifestyle now more than ever but most people often say that not having enough time to prepare a decent meal is their excuse. Save this recipe for when you are on the good and are in need of a healthy dish. Cut the cost of buying Salmon at expensive rates by using frozen packages of Salmon that are still much healthier than can good.
