5 Great Syn Free Slimming World Beef Recipes
The internet is bursting with great recipes no matter what diet you are trying to follow, but sorting through them all can take a lot of time, that's why I have been searching high and low again for the tastiest syn free slimming world recipes I could find, and this time they are all focused around beef as the main ingredient. If beef isn't your thing or your looking for some other tasty recipes why not try my 5 great syn free Slimming World chicken recipes or my 5 great syn free Slimming World salmon recipes instead.
I can't claim any of the tasty recipes you will find below as my own, they have been found all over the internet on all different websites and blogs, but if you fancy trying some of them just follow the links provide which will take you to the full recipes. If your ever in doubt of the syn values or wish to check something either speak to your meeting rep of use the online syn calculator. I can't guarantee the recipes are all syn free as I didn't write them, but as far as I can tell they all are, but Slimming World rules change quite often so things may change in the future. As of publishing these recipes all appear to be syn free.
Even though I am sharing lots of great recipes on my articles I would still advise you to attend group or join online if you are serious about losing weight. I only say this because personally going to group helps keep me motivated and on track, its the fact that someone else is monitoring your weight so you feel a little guilty if you stray off plan and that's kind of a good thing when you are aiming for a target weight.
1. Beef Stroganoff
I love a good beef or mushroom stroganoff but in all honesty I thought on the slimming world diet I wouldn't get to eat it due to the fact it is quite a creamy sauce, so logically bound to be high in syns, that when I happened across this syn free beef stroganoff recipe on Slimming Eats (ok so its 0.5syns for 3 portions, practically syn free!). It just looks so yummy, and I have missed a good creamy sauce. The recipe is pretty simple too, although takes quite a few ingredients, most of them are store cupboard essentials anyway. 2. Beef in Peking Sauce
Chinese is probably one of my favourite foods, and my take away of choice if I get the option. When I found this Beef in Peking sauce recipe on Big Fat Marathon I knew I would be testing it out to see if it could curb my take away craving (It will probably taste great with chicken, duck or pork too!) It is sweet and sticky with just a little bit of heat to keep your taste buds interested. Just serve it up with a pile of egg fried rice or some noodles and you have the perfect fakeaway made in your own home, and even better its all syn free. Find this recipe here
3. Slow Cooked BBQ Beef Brisket
I have been a big fan of the blog Sugar Pink Food for a long time, she has some awesome yummy recipes on her site, so I wasn't surprised to find a nice Slimming World section jammed with lots of great recipes. So a quick search on her site brought me to the tasty syn free BBQ pulled pork recipe. Pulled pork is something we make quite often as hubby loves it and I love that I can do it all in the slow cooker whilst I am busy the rest of the day, its simple, filling and totally tasty! 4. Saucy Beef Stir-fry
Ok so this recipe isn't actually listed as being Slimming World Friendly but with just 1 tiny change (that won't affected the taste at all) it can easily be syn free. You can find the recipe on BBC Good Food and all you need to do is change the jarred peppers for fresh ones and its free, simple! I am a big fan of stir fry, but Jon really isn't, so this is the kind of recipe I will make for myself when he is working, luckily stir-fry is one of the easiest things to make for just 1 person, unlike a lot of recipes which calls for more portions. Again serve with rice or noodles and you have a tasty meal. Find this recipe here
TIP: If I was cooking this I would throw in some beansprouts and some extra veggies so you are packing in even more free and super free options
5. Easy Beef Stew
This easy beef stew is syn free, super simple to make and has piles of great veg to help you keep your 1/3 veg rule. Plus it would be easy to make it in your slow cooker (or could be done on hob if needed) meaning you can prepare it in the morning and it will be all cooked by the time you get home from work. Stew is an obvious choice on this diet as it is easy to keep syn free, uses plenty of free or super free veggies and is cheap and easy to make. This recipe is basic but your guaranteed a hearty filling meal that all the family will enjoy. Find this recipe here
