A Light And Delicious Lemon Mousse Recipe

This lemon mousse recipe is light and lemony. It makes a great dessert that compliments any meal. It uses just a few ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen, so make some today. The recipe is very quick and easy to make.

Lemon Mousse is a light and refreshing dessert any time of year, but especially so in the summer. It also makes a great snack.


1/3 cup of sugar

Two tablespoons of cornstarch

One and a half cups of whole milk

Three tablespoons of lemon juice

One teaspoon lemon zest

½ teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

One cup of whipped cream


Combine sugar and cornstarch in a medium sauce pan. Slowly add the milk. Cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for three minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

Pour the contents of the sauce pan into a large mixing bowl. Stir in the vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Add the whipped cream and fold in until completely combined.

The color is a little dull, so you may want to add a few drops of yellow food coloring to make the lemon mousse appear more yellow.

Refrigerate for an hour or more before serving. Top with whipped cream and lemon zest if desired.
