Meatball Sandwiches Are So Delicious
I like to make homemade Italian Meatballs and use them to make one of my favorite foods which is Meatball Sandwiches.
I usually make my homemade marinaria sauce and I add my cooked meatballs to the marinaria sauce. I set the crock pot on low and let the meatballs and sauce heat up.
I toast my bun for the sandwich lightly by buttering the bread lightly with butter and garlic and then toast the bread under the broiler of the stove. When the meatballs and sauce are warm I put the meatballs and sauce on the bottom of the bun. I then sprinkle the top of the meatballs with freshly grated Parmesan Cheese. I then sprinkle the top of the meatballs with shredded Mozzarella Cheese and put the sandwich under the broiler just long enough to melt the cheese.
I then close the sandwich up like in the photo above and cut it in half. It makes one of the most delicious sandwiches you'll ever have a chance to taste in your life.
I often make these and cut each sandwich up in three or four small pieces and serve them as appetizers at dinner parties. People always go back and get more and more of these delicious sandwiches. I usually serve a crockpot of marinaria sauce on the side so people can pour some of it out on their plate and dip their sandwich in it.
When I want to jazz my meatball sandwiches up I buy bulk Italian Sausage and fry it and crumble it up very fine while it is cooking. I then add it to the marinaria sauce and when you put this sauce on your meatball sandwiches people set up and take notice. Try them this way and see what you think.
Swedish Meatballs Recipe
I don't know about you but to me meatballs especially homemade meatballs are one of the most delicious foods I know. And here we have three delicious recipes for meatballs. Most meatballs are made from ground beef or pork and other ingredients.
You will find meatballs fried , boiled , steamed and baked. And in case you don't know the earliest meatballs can be traced back to Roman times where meatballs were one of the most popular foods served. We know that in 25 AD there was a popular recipe book for meatballs. Its been reported that the book contained 425 recipes for meatballs. I've always wanted a copy of that book.
And you will if you check around you'll find a huge variety of recipes for meatballs. But here are three of my favorite recipes for meatballs.
We find the mention of Swedish Meatballs in a cookbook in 1753. They were served to the British army in 1761 Boston. At that time meatballs were not made and consumed by the common people because they had no way to grind the meat to make the meatballs.
Here's a quick and easy recipe for Swedish Meatballs that everyone seems to love. And everyone who tries the secret sauce for these meatballs says , Wow!.
1. One Pound Lean Ground Beef.
2. One Pound Ground Pork.
3. One Purple Sweet Onion Grated Very Fine.
4. Two Large Eggs Well Beaten.
5. One Teaspoon Ground Sea Salt.
6. One Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper.
7. One Half Teaspoon Ground Cayenne Pepper.
Be sure that you use a sweet onion in your meatballs and be sure that the onion is very finely chopped. You want the onion chopped fine enough that people will see no onion in their meatballs when cooked. You want just the flavor of the onion to come through in the meatballs.
Swedish Meatball Gravy
1. One and Half Cups Beef Broth.
2. One Teaspoon Soy Sauce.
3. One Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce.
4. One Teaspoon Ground Sea Salt.
5. One Teaspoon Black Pepper.
6. Two Teaspoons Plain All Purpose Flour.
Bring your ingredients 1 - 5 to a boil and then whisk your plain flour into the gravy to make sure it is well mixed. As soon as your gravy starts to get thick turn your heat to the lowest setting possible.
Serve your Swedish Meatballs with mashed potatoes and brown gravy.

Sweet And Sour Meatballs Recipe
Here's a delightfully delicious recipe for Sweet and Sour Meatballs that everyone says are the best sweet and sour meatballs in the world.
For your meatballs you will need.
1. One Pound Ground Beef.
2. One Large Egg Well Beaten.
3. One Fourth Cup Dry Bread Crumbs.
4. One Medium Purple Sweet Onion Finely Diced.
For Your Sauce.
1. One Cup Light Brown Sugar.
2. Two Tablespoons All Purpose Plain Flour.
3. One and A Half Cups Chicken Broth.
4. One Fourth Cup White Vinegar.
5. Two Tablespoons Soy Sauce.
In a bowl combine all your meatball ingredients and form into golf ball size meat balls.
In a large skillet brown your meatballs on all sides and set aside.
In a large stock pot combine all the ingredients for your sauce and bring to a boil. Stir for about three minutes and then reduce heat to a low simmer. Add your meatballs and continue to cook on low until your meatballs are cooked thoroughly.
Serve over cooked white rice for a delicious tasty treat.
Honey BBQ Meatballs For Appetizers.
1. One Pound Ground Beef.
2. One Pound Ground Pork.
3. Two Cups Fine Bread Crumbs.
4. One Large Purple Sweet Onion Finely Diced.
5. One Large Well Beaten Egg.
Mix all your ingredients together and form into small less than golf ball size meatballs. Buy one large bottle Kraft Honey BBQ Sauce and pour it into a large bowl. Add your meatballs and gently stir to cover your meatballs.
Place your meatballs out onto a well greased baking pan and bake rolling often until your meatballs are done. These meatballs make an excellent appetizer.
